Disabling My Internet

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Whenever I try to join any DayZ server, it just disables my internet. It doesn't let me rejoin my WiFi until I disconnect and then reconnect my dongle.

This can also happen randomly when I'm ingame.

Any help on this matter would be appreaciated, Thanks.

Take a hammer in your hand, place wifi on desk, smash wifi until pulverised, chuck remains in furnace, drive/walk/fly to closest shop selling wifi, purchase, install.

Have you modified the way packets are sent? (eg: enabled TcpNoDelay to reduce lag / desync)

Have you tried connecting over LAN?

I'd probably take your advice and use it if my internet didn't work with this game on the other computers in the house.

How do I modify the way packets are sent?

You can't connect over Lan on the Standalone. (You can't create your own servers).

I can't remember where this is located but I'll do it when I get back home onto my windows PC.

You may be suffering from high loss of power being supplied to your PC, therefore when you run any CPU/GPU straining programmes it disables your wifi,

What I'll tell you to do is to turn off the computer's ability to turn off your wireless connection when running low on power

My computer can run most games on max graphical settings including games like BF4 and Crysis 3. And DayZ runs fine maxed out so I'm not sure if that would be the problem.

But I'll give your solution a go when you are able to post some steps on how to do that. Thanks :D

Still doing it. I've been searching around a lot and haven't found anything. Other people seem to be getting it on the mod too though.
