CJFlint 357 Posted February 6, 2014 (edited) I'm getting a good handle on the ways of DayZ SE, and learning the ways of this post apoc virtual hell hole. Its all about survival and being armed to the teeth. My last life I had a pretty good CHR, I had really nice mosin scoped. Nice mil gear, scored a compass, 1st aid kits, water bottles ect ect. I survived for 4 nights. But I was attacked by zombies after the patch, and they caused be to bleed out. I should of just ran but did not want to expose my self to much. My screen turned grey. I bandaged. There was no issues listed when I pressed the tab key. Just grey. Is because of lack of blood? I ended up going unconscious. How do you resolve this? Is blood blag the only option? This bound to happen again, so its a need to know. Edited February 6, 2014 by CJFlint
e00c 84 Posted February 6, 2014 Flint, Easy to fix! • Sit down, DO NOT MOVE. • Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink, Eat, Drink• Do not become stuffed.• Still don't move.• Eat, Drink some more. It takes around 10 minutes to get full colour back. You will need to continue eating + drinking until you get the healing/healthy status though. No need for a IV kit, but it does help a little :-)
knar33 158 Posted February 6, 2014 The only way to regain health (the cause of your blurriness) is to get "healthy" and naturally regenerate health. IV and blood have no impact on this. If you want a comprehensive rundown on the mechanics of blood/health, you can watch this video:
CJFlint 357 Posted February 6, 2014 Thank's both of you for posting that. I now know bare minimal eating and drinking isn't good enough. And to eat and drink regularly. Good info TY!

DaMaakus 34 Posted February 6, 2014 The linked video may be outdated by now, for the reduced stomach size and the currently bug with the "stuffed" status. But it gives a good idea of the mechanics in the background in general. The grey screen comes from blood loss and before the last patch, you could eat a bag of rice and the drink till your stuffed and gain the healing/healty status and regain your blood slowly.i don't know if this is true anymore, since the last patch. You can use blood bags and saline bags to gain blood levels.I think I read, that blood bags give you more blood than saline, but with the potential to kill you. Anyways, the biggest problem with both blood bags and saline bags is the need for another player to use the bags on you.
Kengion 0 Posted February 7, 2014 I wouldn't recommend blood bags now because of blood types, if you have a friend try just Saline. But if you eat enough food you should heal up, works fine for me.
