First Interaction with an Armed Player up North

So, I was looting the Military base near Stary, and I see this guy. Green beret, FNX, hunting pack, and fully decked out in clothing. I had the first Magnum I had ever gotten, a Mosin (I could've had an SKS, but as I was picking it up, it glitched and I lost it) with 1 round, and I was fully equipped too. Everything I had was TTsKo, except my helmet. We both saw eachother. I was leaving, he was entering. What happened?

We walked past eachother, without saying a word.

I was scared as shit.

 

EDIT- I realize I could've shot him, but I had a backpack full of food, and all I really needed was Mosin ammo. He didn't have a mosin. So, I ended up sprinting away. If I had taken 10 more seconds fixing up my inventory, he likely would've been inside the jail complex with me, and I would've had to shoot him.

RE-EDIT- Thinking back on it, the guy didn't even turn around until he was sure I'd left. So, I should've given him the bird and ran. When I was on the coast a life before, I flicked off a fully armed bandit squad. They were terrible shots.

The SKS would have been bugged out like 1metre away from you, probably a few CM flying off the ground too, it's a bug.

I was 20 feet away from the jail complex, and running towards it would mean running next to the guy. I wanted to minimize contact.

I know about the bug. I eventually found the SKS, actually, but I ditched all my ammo. I figured 1 round was better than none. Also, I love the Mosin.
