Mosuke 17 Posted February 5, 2014 I think it would be nice to add the possibility to get akimbo pistols. Same pistols or different combinations of pistols (if there were more pistols implemented)
TheXJackal 5 Posted February 5, 2014 I thought about this the other day i would love to run around with two revolver
TheNorCalSniper 63 Posted February 5, 2014 No way! I would hate for this to be implemented. What good is dual wielding pistols? It's inaccurate as all hell, it's a waste of ammo, and this kind of thing is only done in Hollywood. Unless you have extensive knowledge and practice with pistols, this isn't practical. Besides... This isn't Call of Duty.

blackberrygoo 1416 Posted February 5, 2014 I don't necessarily think dual weilding pistols is the best choice but he could be on to something ... If you're sporting a pistol , obviously you can't attach a bayonet to the pistol that's long enough to penetrate the skull , so if you could dual weild a sidearm and a knife / machete you could be a zombie killing machine , fast and efficient . ;)
commanderbash 102 Posted February 5, 2014 i'd rather them add underslung pistols as rifle attachments then see the add duel wielding from a game standpoint, duel wielding is way to increase magazine capacity and excuse having the same pistol shoot faster real life? can't aim, or support the pistols,, there's just no good reason to do this
Mosuke 17 Posted February 5, 2014 I am saying that you can have the possibility to do it. The choice to do it or not is yours...
xRann 126 Posted February 5, 2014 Wouldn't mind one hand flashlight one pistol, but two pistols is just wildly ridiculous. Try it sometime, if the range would even allow you to attempt it.
Sutinen 635 Posted February 5, 2014 With the current dispersion, the first bullet would probably hit 30m off the target and second would go behind you or something.
Cenobyte 71 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) No. Just no. It's something that's been over-glamourised by games and Hollywood. Looks flashy to some, but inaccurate as hell and if you ask me just makes you look as much of a tit as turning the gun on it's side -_- Weaver stance or gtfo Edited February 5, 2014 by Cenobyte

burkino_026@yahoo.com 14 Posted February 5, 2014 Dual wield is just useless, but, as mentioned, the principle of splitting your hands one weapon per hand is not entirely useless. I cant think of thee uses: - gun + melee. More effective with SDW rifles or handguns because of weight and inertia and recoil (wont be able to manage a shotgun with one hand). It'd be very useful to keep your handgun out while you're planting a knife in a zombie head, in case of an unexpected encounter, or if the knifing fails. Of course, to be intended in very-close quarters fights. - fast switch from two-handed gun to sidegun. So often you may find frustrating switching from primary to seconday. Others have mentioned it in this forum already. The sling idea is cool. You could just drop the primary, leaving it hung on your sling, while your quickly draw your secondary. Or, in absence of a sling, you could hold on to the rifle or shotgun, while the free hand draws the pistol. So you're not wasting time putting the gun away, or, even worse, having to drop it (which, to be fair, could be a tactic, in case you run out of ammo, and quickly need to draw your pistol,. you should be able to just drop the gun) - as mentioned, pistol+flashlight. At the moment, exploring Dayz nights with a flashlight is suicide. Flashlights are dangerous. Better off with a headlamp, but leaves your head unprotected in case you own a helmet and want to use it. cj14 189 Posted February 6, 2014 I think it would be nice to add the possibility to get akimbo pistols. Same pistols or different combinations of pistols (if there were more pistols implemented) so...duals? no thanks, every single kid would go around with dual guns shooting everything

rickenbacker 190 Posted February 6, 2014 I think it would be nice to add the possibility to get akimbo pistols. Same pistols or different combinations of pistols (if there were more pistols implemented) Sure, as long as accuracy is lowered to pretty much nothing. Akimbo pistols is not a real thing, and never has been used in any way, by anyone, other than Hollywood actors.
