brumey 116 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) still downloading... i play on a machine with 840pro ssd, hd7850, i5-3570K. never had any problems with performance. u gotta tweak it a bit Server: Optimized synchronization and transfer of variables within and outgoing from server (significant performance increase on server, of 5-10 FPS)Cheers which is awesome Edited February 5, 2014 by brumey
hombrecz 832 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) Server: Optimized synchronization and transfer of variables within and outgoing from server (significant performance increase on server, of 5-10 FPS)Cheers We all know that server FPS does not directly translate into client (your installed game) FPS gain right? Anyway it is a good news, because they can add more zombies or more loot and hopefully that means that we are another step closer to server being able to respawn zombies and loot normally, not only uport restart!! Hi. Maybe not directly, but in this engine at least, your performance is drastically effected by server performance. You can get 100 fps in single player, but if the server is bogged down at 15-25 fps yours will be shyte as well. That 5-10 fps server performance can have a huge impact on client side performance, depending on your system. Usually the better your system the greater the effect will be. i.e. if your running a system that would max out at 30 fps in single player, you probably won't notice the difference, but people with better systems will reap the rewards. Regards.

Regards. What you describe was most apparent for me in ARMA3.In DayZ mod, I did not feel I was that extra dependant on server FPS, but maybe that was just my perception. Anyway to get huge FPS boost for client, we will need to wait for client side optimalisation such as dividing rendered from engine and replacing DX7 parts with DX9 stuff. edit: I have i-7 4770K, 8GD DDR3 and Radeon HD 7870 2GB so I do not feel my PC being the source of problems such as having 25-30 FPS in Cherno / Elektro. A bit off-topic but: Have you tried the latest AMD drivers. I don't use AMD cards, but I've heard they FINALLY added multi-threading support, bringing the performance more or less up to par with nVidia(who have been multi-threading for a long time) in some other games. Games that have been known to work much better with nVidia. Regards.
JoyEnergiser 11 Posted February 7, 2014 I have a R9-290 Radeon and before the patch It was strugglng at 40-50 fps full detail, it is now 50-60 fps exactly 10 fps as the patch says, but still below what I should be getting for this card when I compare it to games like BF4. Sloddor 167 Posted February 7, 2014 (edited) i personally get more fps in cities. it runs smooth now since the server fps increase. in my understanding the client side performance is never attached to server performance, but in dayZ it seems to be different. maybe it has something to do with the godray bug mentioned in the patchlogs. That would be real gamining paradise for me.

Hmm I'm wearing glasses so I'm affraid oculus rift might not be for me.But yes, constant 60FPS is ofc better then anything less.I'm always smiling in games where I've got 100 or more FPS (WarThunder for example) and wish it was DayZ SA. Thanks for the concern :-).I guess we need to wait how this Rift thing will play out. So far looks quite promising with all the renowned folks flocking to the team (that Id Soft guy etc).
