raezion420 97 Posted February 5, 2014 (edited) Yeah they take a melee slot but you can run fast while holding it. Usually seems to take 2 or 3 head shots to kill a zombie. Took me about 30 hits to kill someone with it oh and it just seems like they are all over, seen them in lots of places. jffr363 33 Posted February 5, 2014 I can confirm. Its nice that you can sprint with it in your hands, and it only takes up 3 vertical slots in a backpack if you would prefer. Ill probably switch to the machete once I find one. Its good if you don't mind not having a 1 hit zed kill and want a something that isn't so obvious on your back or that will fit into your backpack easily. Just a sharp metal with green plastic handle.. dunno, expected something like this xD but still not bad.just want to see, how it looks on the back.i think i'll drop my fire-axe, i the machete is able to 1-2 kill a zombie and also hurt players badly.it's just the fact, that some people say, that you need 4-5 hits on a player.I think, it would be OK, if we could find a Machete, and then sharp it with a stone, so it 1-3 "shots" players.Both, the stone and machete are in the game. soulfirez 901 Posted February 9, 2014 I like the great detail the devs have gone to model almost everything except the machette its like a rush job to get one out sorry devs thats just how i feel... Come on look at the thing bland as hell to short to be a trully effective machette ( i wouldnt use that punny thing to hack my way through a jungle) and lastly the thing needs a buff it shouldnt be as strong as a fire axe as it does have the advantage of being able to run full speed with it ( great i like that ) but it seems about as effective as the kitchen knife...
