You are dead, but cannot respawn !

Been 20 minutes waiting on the You Are Dead screen on the same server.

 

In addition the Respawn button is greyed out, and unclickable.

 

Edit: Also my character has disappeared on the menu screens.

 

This exact thing just happened to me. Added a comment to the main bug report. Will try some of the potential solutions in this thread. Hope it won't be a common problem moving forward.

You can fix this by typing : Character Reset and join a server that has that.

Wait 5 min in the server walk a bit around and then log out or wait till you lost connection to host and then join your old server and there you go you're back alive

 

It takes like 2-3 min to find ther server
