Dr. Goner 661 Posted February 4, 2014 I don't think it's a stupid question at all. I still believe the cliche that there are no stupid questions. I'm not familiar with this game but this seems to be a pretty good explanation: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/175363

gungza 29 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) It is an indication of how well the server and your client are syncing. 0 being perfect and 100 000 being not at all. If at 100 000 what you see on your screen (client) and what synced players see on their screen (what is actually happening on the server) will be different. If you are 100 000 people will appear to be standing still or running in one place, you can't use your inventory or take out your guns, and you can't hear gun shots or foot steps. Baarn 53 Posted February 4, 2014 is it bad if i have a six-figure sum ? Just to answer this:It happens to me that right after I join a server, I usually get 100 000 desync. This is not really a problem and - I guess - just means that the client and server are still synching. You want to keep desync low (at 0) during gameplay, however. I am not really sure how to actively do that, I suspect that high server and client load both can be responsible for growing desync, that is just from my observations as I've mostly seen desync on full servers and then people with weak hardware are more prone to having high desync values.
