2 suggestions that go hand in hand

Recommended Posts

1) Some sort of hit detection:

Right now I never know if someone is already unconscious or already dead. I don't know if I hit him enough times or too many, because the death animation is so bad.

2)Ragdolls for player models:

I bet this is probably planned, but I suggest it here to make sure. It's 2014 and the game should have ragdolls.

as for 1 - apart from our obvious verdict regarding animations - do you mean like a "check for vital signs" option? because not being able to tell from a distance whether someone is dead or unconcious sounds about right

Hit detection is definitely something they're working on, but they haven't had a lot of time to focus on it with all of these other big bugs and issues like server hopping. The game's still alpher, though, just keep that in mind.

Ragdolls are something I think a lot of people would like (ArmA 3 esque) but I don't know the likelihood of them appearing. It's possible they will come in the future if they decide to re-do the character mesh but at this point they will probably just have to improve the death animations.

I haven't actually read any information on the subject and I'm not a modeler, so I wouldn't know if it were planned, though.

No I mean like flinching or something at the very least. Personally I'd like to see a message pop up like "You shot a Survivor" or even "You killed a Survivor".

I remember the first guy I killed: He was standing straigt up and just bleeding like a fountain. I used unnecessary amounts of ammo because I thought he was still alive.

The second guy ran towards me, I unloaded into him and he slid across the floor but wasn't dead. I know this is not Unreal Tournament, but a few quality-of-live improvements could still fit in.
