Ammo for rare guns.

Agreed. Weapons like DMR have ammo dropped/spawned everywhere. The particular weapon is not THAT common, but the ammo is. Need way more ammo for those + more.

I find it quite amusing how every post against this suggestion seems to think we're asking for FAL ammo to spawn like Makarov ammo. Are you people seriously so mentally impaired that you fail to realise we're asking for what could be considered a 1% increase in the ammunition spawn rate for these weapons' date=' not asking for them to be spawning like empty cans?

The OP has clearly stated his suggestion, and EVERY post against it exaggerates the OP's suggestion to a degree that makes it sound unreasonable, and then bitches that we're the ones being unreasonable.

FN FAL use the same ammunition like DMR and M14.

Exactly the same caliber.

So like in the DMR and M24 example or M1911 and revolver example or G17 and M9 example not mention PDW and MP5(whose can use ammo clips from other weapons)

FN FAL should use DMR magazines.

This would go hand in hand with the interchangeable ammunition idea found in this thread. I support this.

+1 Combining either DMR or M24 for FAL mags is a great idea.

I support this thread, rare ammo spawning on military/police zombies, or just mil, and more interchangeable ammunition for rare guns. I'd also like to see the M9SD be able to use regular M9 ammo and vice-versa, or quite plainly they should just use the same mag. I have confirmed the M9SD cannot load standard M9 mags. Which is unfortunate cuz the M9SD mags are superfrickin rare. And it doesn't help that it takes 3-4 shots to drop a zombie.

Ok here is an idea, why cant we have a reloading kit implemented into the game and reload ammo for weapons. (Rifles, shotguns and pistols only)

Now the way this could work is:

1, You will need to find a reloading press;

(required to be implemented into the game)

2, Then you will need to find a tin of powder;

[attachment=1444]

(required to be implemented into the game)

3, Then you will need a bullet caster;

[attachment=1445]

(required to be implemented into the game)

4, Then you need some primers;

[attachment=1446]

(required to be implemented into the game)

5, you will need Scrap metal to make casings and projectiles; and

[attachment=1447](picture of Casings only)

(Scrap metal is already in game just another use for it?)

6, A fireplace.(so matches,wood and a hatchet again already in game just another use for it?)

Now here is the catch,

The Powder, primers, casings, projectiles and the scrap metal are all one time use only for this. (up to 5 Magazines each of rifle and pistol ammo)

And,

To make your bullets for your weapons you will need to be logged on in order to do this as it will take real game time to do this. (looking at 1 Hour + to complete)

This works by using the scrap metal and bullet caster at a fireplace. (just like cooking meat) at a lit fireplace and use the interact menu to create casings and projectiles and will require 2 lots of firewood (20 Minutes)

Then using the Reloading press at the fireplace to combine the power,primers casings and projectiles equals rounds for your current weapons and this will require 4 lots of firewood (40 minutes)

This should be scripted so that it will only reload your current rifle type and current sidearm you have on your person (Nothing in packs) and give you only a maximum of 5 magazines of each or less depending how many free slots you have in your inventory.

The reloading press and the bullet caster can be used over and over again. By using the lit fireplace method for everything, this forces the player to be in game to keep the fire going while doing this process takes place and is an effective timer so they are not just logging off and coming back later ready to rock n roll later. If they let the fire go out they will loose everything.

Remember pre-made ammo is finite and will run out eventually!

I guess what I am trying to point out is:

That it not a request for more ammo to be spawned around the area and should satisfy the hardcore people out there to some extent;

You would have to spend actual in game time to make it;

All items would be hard to find and if the fire goes out you can loose everything; and

Its a pain in the butt to do, but provides you with the vital ammo you require.

Anyway just a thought.

I think a few crashed military supply trucks randomly spawning around the map much like the helis with ammo in would be suffice. Script is already in the game, just need an overturned truck model instead of a heli husk.

Same goes for medical supplies. Randomly place overturned ambulances around the map, again much like helis but these would have morphine, bloodpacks, antibiotics and painkillers.

Could even have the odd abandoned grocery truck crashed into a hedge at the sides of roads with tin cans and drinks.

These would all be at the same spawn rate at the helis, but it would be nice to find these scattered about.

I also think vehicles need to be randomly spawned in different locations instead of their current fixed locations.

I think all my above suggestions are more fitting for us players who prefer to explore and want to be rewarded for it and not have to enter towns and cities filled with COD bandits wanting a game of deathmatch.

The Bizon on the other hand. Dunno. It is silent weapon with good stats and big magazines.

I think ammo should be possible to find on heli crew zombies and on heli ammo boxes(with M107 ammo FNFAl ammo Stanag ammo and Bizon ammo).

this this and this. For the bizon i believe 2 mp5sd mags would work and to those complaining that the ammo is supposed to be rare you will understand what OP is saying when you find a fal with an NV scope. tl;dr Combinable mags ftw

instead of ruining the silencer why not be able to split an mp5sd mag into 2 m9sp clips.

Haha, I had a Bizon with three mags, I died from a bandit encounter (I swear I shot him like 10 times on full auto from 5 meters, I guess it was lag.) before I emptied one mag. Killed over 30 zombies with clean shots before it.

I understand the problem with FAL though, it attracts a lot of attention and has very small capacity mags over all.

In my opinion some of the here posted is just wrong.

First of all, to the people talking about this being a survival game and evey bullet needs to be crucial and so on:

This is a survival GAME. I can spend 20 minutes in a large city and get two refillable bottles a hatched some matches and a hunting knife....maybe one or two cans of food and soda. When i got these...i can survive ingame for more than a whole day realtime. Actually, you could pretty much survive for ever without even killing ANYTHING else but a cow...but is that fun? A game should be fun...thats why there are weapons in this game after all...so you can do something else than sitting in the jungle cutting animals and refilling empty bottles. This is a zomby apocalyps after all.

Then again to the people talking about it being stupid to find that ammo too easily:

WTF??!?! 1-2% more chance of finding that ammo is too easy?!?! Also, as this is somehow supposed to be as realistic as possible: how the f*** is it realistic to find a weapon on a heli crash site.....with no ammo....not even on the people that were obviously on that heli..... I think the average soldier got more than one magazin for his mainweapon with him...especially as its an smg....

I think it would be nice to have another way to find those Mags for Bizon and FAL.

Asking for more ammo for your rare weapon is like the new players asking for a weapon to start...

Deal with it and get a weapon with more common ammo. It's not a trophy contest where we need you to show off your leet weapon.

Part of reality is less ammo for those weapons.

Should lower geared players ask for more pistol spawns?

I would have to disagree, the point of the thread is saying that these ultra rare weapons are near unusable because the game simply does not spawn ammo for them and therefore should occasionally spawn outside of crash sites once in a while, seems reasonable and realistic to me if other rare guns (usually of higher quality like the AS50) can spawn plenty of ammo, why cant the pp-19?. Your post simply argues that you shouldn't bother taking the weapons because the ammo is rare and keep with the standards. Isn't that the same thing as just saying the gun is useless and may as well not even be in the game at all?
