My experimental experience so far:

So heres my story of being a freshspawn, dying of hunger and going shopping!

So i start on the beach per usual at the refinery, i run down the coast, find myself a wrench so i decide to track down some bandits...

Half an hour later i spot one in kamyshovo on the hill sniping, thanks to hardcore servers hes dead now, i take his gear, kill his friend trying to sneak up on me then head back to the coast, i then run out of food and die.

I respawn tryed some berry bushes to no avail after several attempts, i run down to the refinery again, meet a guy that sais he just got killed by a group of bandits in elektro so i headvdown to check it out, pick up a hacksaw on the way, then at kamyshovo i find a group of ten guys that have set up a market on the road selling oants, shirts, shoes and torches as well as other assorted items. One of there guards sais he needs help with a sniper in the hills, passez me. His axe and sais good luck, so after ten minutes intrack him down, i scare him out of cover by axeing the tree, then i axed him a question, donated his gear to the market, keeping the axe and continued on to elektro i stay on sniper hill for ten minutes just watching and waiting. I spot two guys in the green house in front so i charge in with my axe, neither lasted long, but the there friends hold me up inside, arrest me steal my blood and then force feed je alcohol until i die

Back on topic, that's basically my experience when i spawned in the first few times. After that, as soon as I spawned i booked it as far inland i could go. After running inland for a while, i stopped to loot some small towns. Wound up finding an SKS and a PU along with some ammo. But right now on experimental, the coast is chaos

Sounds a little silly. I've not seen a single coastal sniper in the experimental servers. I'd kind of hoped that the population had a slightly lower concentration of ass-hats than usual.

 

My experience of the experimentals so far has been largely positive. Sure, I've died from starvation a few times, and I've had a couple of 5+ man fist fights around Kamy/Soln direction immediately after a spawn. However it seems that even armed players on these servers are mostly willing to either cooperate, or at least avoid an engagement when it isn't necessary.

 

I think this is mainly due to the fact that loot can be very rare at the moment and a lot of players realise cooperation is the key to survival. However, it may be due to people's lack of confidence in being able to hit a target at range. Once you miss that first shot, your intentions have been shown and you may just end up dead.

 

 

If I can do ^ that in Elektro in broad daylight on a 40 man server, then gear myself up inside 10 minutes and be on my way to NWAF, there's still hope for humanity.
