kichilron 8550 Posted February 4, 2014 Oh, this is an important thing you need to consider when you have a bright room / lightsources pointing at the receiver: That can really create problems, especially with the sun in summer. I had the problem, that my window opens behind me, creating refelctions behind my head, that made the TrackIR useless (but only when the windows was open) Also - don't have a lightsource pointing at the receiver, as that will create massive problems as well. -MadTommy 367 Posted February 4, 2014 The only issue i found is that turning your head the full way means you have to look away from the screen even if it is calibrated correctly. This is simply not true. If you need to look away from the monitor it is NOT calibrated correctly. It is a common misconception that you need to look away from the monitor to turn your head in game. Or just use the Alt button and save yourself the expenses. Other than flying a chopper, I don't see it being any more useful than just using the Alt button tbh. Why do you think it would be useful in a chopper and not as infantry? You can use the alt button in a chopper too. It becomes very natural moving your head to look around.. using a mouse to look around will never be as immersive or natural as doing what you do in real life! There is no doubt that people can do just just fine using a mouse. But i bet my situational aweness is better using trackir than having to use keyboard & mouse to have to look around.
