Why is the game a 32-bit client? Change it to 64-bit!

Recommended Posts

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I can't imagine converting the game to a 64-bit client (since it's only being ran on PC's and all next gen consoles are 64-bit) would have any downsides and only good performance benefits!

Ask yourself:

Does the game need to address more than 4 GB of memory at the same time?

Does the game use more than 32 cores or CPU threads?

It doesn't need to be 64 bit.

To everyone asking, yes it is. DayZ SA is a 32-bit client.

What do you mean? Are you really saying using MORE of your systems resources is a bad thing? Also 32-bit only uses TWO cores in a processor, hence the shit CPU performance.

This would imply that building the executable as 64bit would magically start using more than 2 threads.
