I was thinking it would be interesting if your character grew a beard after surviving a certain length of time.

It would give other players an indication of how long your character has survived.

 

After 5 days or a week you'd get some short stubble.

Another week and you'd have a short beard

A month and you get a medium full beard.

A few more months, it turns into a full Duck Dynasty long beard.
