No zombies, no loot

So guys i have bought the standalone version, but i cant find any zombies or loot. also when i turn thr camera right or left it seems to change into a fisheye style camera. does this have anything to do with updates? how can i update the game?

Your game should auto update, as for loot and zombies, neither of those respawn until server restart yet. Most likely, all the coastal towns were looted already. Head inland to find some actual loot.

About the fisheye, maybe this has to do with your field of view setting?  It's in the settings menu

I would take fisheye to mean distortion, like the image is being stretched from two points

thanks for the fast reply, i was away yesterday but yes..its like a distortion! it looks very strange.

btw do you mean all servers restart?

and one more thing... dont you think the character is running much faster than in the mod?

In your graphics option, set the 3d resoluton to your native resolution (usually 1920x1080)

The server restarts and "fills" the places with loot and zombies. When a player goes into a town (for exmample) and kills all the zombies and takes the loot...the town is empty (time to hike up to the next town...without starving to death). It will be filled again when the server restarts and that's usually like 4h i think. Depends on the server I guess.

 

Usually this means that when you see zombies there is a good chance that there is loot also.
