Game no longer launches

Hi today i went to play Dayz but when i press play it flickers on a blacks screen for a second and then goes back to desktop without any error messages. i have gone into the game folder and checked the Disable desktop composition option in the compatibility tab but this did not do anything either.

 

Any help much appreciated Thanks.

Maybe reinstall? Mine takes about a minute to load up, and goes to a black screen.  That's all I can say.

I have also re installed it about 6 times as well as switching between normal and the experimental branch :(

 

 

Edit: i decided to re install it again this time i deleted it from steam like normal and then deleted its folder from the steam directory as well as the one in the documents and it now works.

I'm having same problem beacuse I was trying to change resolution. How do I fix it ? Just delete Dayz from Steam and delete it from SteamApps ?
