Where Has All The Food Gone?

Been playing the game for a few weeks now with no problems but tonight I can't find any food? Been on 3 servers and nothing. The places I have been haven't been looted as I found guns and ammo. I have been surviving on cans of fizzy drink. Is anyone else having this problem or am I just having bad luck?

Lots of food everywhere.

 

I just died with a backpack full, literally full, of food.

If you are on the coast that's probably why. Most of the coastal towns are picked clean within the first 30 minutes or so after a server restart. You need to head in-land to find the good stuffz.
