Desync

I'm playing with about 5 or 6 friends and we're getting a ton of desync on every server we play on, this started yesterday but was fine up until then, I can play on low pop servers on my own with no problems, is everyone else getting this problem?

 

Our connections are fine and other games work fine.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Let me explain a few things to you. :)

Obviously - because you don't feel desync on your own character. It's simply impossible to not be in sync with yourself, can it?

 

And there have been a few complaints about it - go ahead and use the searchfunction and you will find a few things regarding that since the last patch.

I had this problem with 1 friend of mine

 

Only when he joined the group would I lag out.

I only found this out by a process of elimination.

 

And it doesn't happen 100% of the time which makes it hard to report correctly :(

Try a different server (even if the one you're on shows a good ping'. Servers are complicated beats and can fuck-up in all sorts of interesting ways.

Its one of the big things in SA,for a while standalone was not coming out because they where trying to fix servers,i guess thats some thing that dean and the rest of the team are having a hard time with.

 

should get better but other then that what the others said seems to be all there is to say.

The day before yesterday we tried over 20 different servers, yes 20 lol, yesterday we tried about 10 and today (on my own and in a completely empty server) I'm still getting really bad desync I can't pick up items, I can't drop items I can't equip a weapon. Each day it seems to get worse and now it's impossible to play, I hope this update on the 5th/7th will make this a little better (I know it won't but we can dream right?)

Is your router up to date? Have you tryed disabling your firewall? Are you on a wireless network? What is your operating system? What country and what average ping do you have?

My router is up to date, I can't see how my firewall would be causing problems after 70+ hours game play, No I'm running wired, I'm using Win 8, UK average ping is about 20ms

 

On saying that I've just managed to play 3+ hours with about 5 friends and had no real big issues with it, maybe the servers were just having a couple of bad days and are starting to settle back down.

Man this has been an issue since battle eye servers started.  They dont want to admit its battle eye but go to a non battle eye with your friends you wont desync AT ALL.  It's very annoying and im sorry your the one getting it.  In my group i was the one getting it as well.  And after coming back after a bit of a break i ran across a group of 3 last night and yep still there.  No idea how you can fix it.  Tried absolutely everything in every thread about it.  Unfortunately until they make it a top priority to repair alot of us just cant play on the normal servers.
