Server Resets - Restarts Question

Hi,

 

A friend told me the server will reset/restart every 2 weeks, and you loose your gear everytime.

Is that true? Is there a fixed restart that wipes everything?

Nope, not true at all, there has only been one official database wipe so far, all other instances of character loss are due to bugs/glitches.

Try to remember though we're still in the alpha phase.  Should the devs find it advantageous to wipe the server for whatever reason... testing... new code... they'll wipe it.  I would expect this to continue on into beta as well. 

 

Rule number one of DayZ... don't get attached to your gear.
