Idea Crossed My Mind

We all now most of dayz players like to kill people and kill them on sight

 

and there is also lots of tears regarding spawn spread and not possibility to spawn with friends

 

So one idea crossed my mind - why not make Dayz - Hunger game style

every one spawns/respawns at same place, with no guns, give them 5 minute safe time to avoid instant spawn killing.

 

and then you can go and try to survive as long as you can

in this mode kiling on sight will be OK, spawning with friends also possible, Zombies suits in this scenario, maybe later some wild animals dogs, wolfs, angry birds (boars) etc

 

and best gear ofc only on N side of map

In the mod there is a mod for the mod... That actually does this =P It's fun but loses its niche fairly quickly...

This isn't what DayZ is supposed to be, nothing like this will ever be implemented in the game IMO.

 

Maybe when mod support is added we'll see something like this, but not from the devs.

I have to admit i would truly hate, starting the same place over and over and over again :(
Some of the fun in a fresh spawn, is not knowing exactly where you are for the first couple of mins.

 

Also, the whole "cannot be killed for 5 mins" thing, is not a good idea tbh.
People will find a way to abuse it, especially if everybody spawns the same place.

I can already see trolls gathering barbed wire and fencing the place in, to wait 5 mins after spawn and simply kill people, who cant escape :)
