M4 And Future Weapon Accuracy And Status

Recommended Posts

SO, I'm not sure how many other people have as much an issue as I do with the accuracy of the M4 rifle. At 50 meters even, standing or crouched and on single fire, the weapons trajectory is horrid. Going prone with bipod seems to make you shoot dead on, but come on... Aiming down the Irons should make the weapon hit targets just as much. Maybe add more wobble to standing and crouched shooting and make holding breath more of a necessity, but dont make my m4 shoot crazy for no reason. This brings me to the weapon status (ruined, pristine, worn, ect).. It would be MUCH better to just have 3 statuses... Clean, Dirty, and Ruined... Cleaned shoots on target, Dirty has a high chance of increased dispersion and shooting off target, and ruined wont fire.. SIMPLE ENOUGH, right? Then when ur weapon gets dirty after a few hunderd shots, or when going through water, or being found in that condition, you can simply use the Cleaning Kit. It makes absolutely no sense to have a pristine m4 with worn-pristine parts to miss targets while on single fire and standing or crouched. The spread atm is unacceptable

Try re-binding the hold breath button, and then shooting like you are supposed to in real life.

oops I just gave away the secret of DayZ Gunplay

Are you telling me you hold ur beath when shooting in real life??? lulz. A sighted weapon will shoot where the sights aim.. either make the weapon sway more without the "hold breath" effect or dont make the weapon shoot off center for no good reason

But you are supposed to hold you breath in real life or hold and then slowly breath out as you squeeze the trigger.

Could also be the fact that the m4 is the only military rifle right now so most people have it. The devs could always make it better when there are other weapons added and the m4 are harder to find.

I believe he is talking about when firing in real life you are suppose to fire after your breath naturally leaves your body.

Obviously you are a trained marksman and should have massive input on the accuracy of the game.  Honestly, I've never had any problem with hitting my target in this game.  It may take a couple extra shots some times, but nobodys perfect.

No, you pause your breath at a natural exhale and breathe after each shot than repeat.

After a couple more months most players will have become comfortable with the stock M4A1s spraying musket-like groups and the people wanting more appropriate dispersion from their weapons will be met with cries of "learn 2 play", "ur supposed to be an untrained civilian" and "this isn't a military simulator, it's a GAME".

It's a bit sad..

i know what u mean , same for me sometimes with m4 , i dont know why this happens i shoot with 4 friends a zed in 50 meters , in fron of us and all of us has to shoot 1 magazine till he get hit ..... if standing, crouching ,hold breath , weapon is pristine .

and then a few patches before i easyli hit a target 300 meters away 1 shot ...... i think the accuracy is fucked up .

I find it funny he doesn't think shooting a gun in real life takes skill and breath control..

Must hold his gun backwards and sideways as well.

Make sure you have the safety off when that gun is pointed in-between your own eyes as well buddy.
