Logging In With Nothing?

Was there a massive reset? I logged out, safely and far away from players or citits, and when i logged back in an hour later i had nothing and was at a spawn point. Was there a reset on everything or is this a common bug

1. Did you make sure you were on the type of server you were originally (I.E. hardcore, regular)

I mainly play on regular servers. And ive tried several times but i was reset. Unless a bear mauled me i should not have died. Not too bent about it knowing its alpha. But i mean come on. Add some vehicles. Im sick of having to run for 20 minutes to enjoy 2 minutes of the game

I keep telling myself that when I log off I'm actually laying down for a nap. Sometimes I get killed in my sleep and I don't know why, well, because I was sleeping at the time.

Same thing happened to me. Spent an hour and a half making it through Elektro, through Chero and Christ knows how many zombies, got to a base and geared up. Logged out and a little while later, got back in game only to find everything gone !

 

I paid $30 for this game knowing about the bugs and glitches etc, but not this BULLSHIT. I certainly hope this isn't Dean and crew meddling with how HE thinks people should play the game.

 

Get your head out of your arsehole Dean and get the fucking thing working right, or I want my money back arsehole.

 

Sick of this fucking shit. HOWS THAT FOR CUSTOMER FEEDBACK WITH DEVELOPMENT DEAN ?

That happened to me few hours ago:

If you find you're respawned for 'no reason' just zap out of that server (Alt/Escape/F4) and try another server. There's still some mess going on around the servers from the update. Sometimes I log in two different standard servers (not Hardcore) and both times get respawn, (I zap)  then on the third I get my character back. AND one time I logged in a Vilayer server, had my full character, played the day and found some interesting stuff, logged in the next day, another server,  and I was back where I started the day before. 

If you see it's peak play time, with 27/30 or 40/40 players on each server, then you see one or two Regular servers with low pings, Daytime, and zero or 1 player, (AND time set at 12:30, so there's no mistake its daylightlight) then dont bother going there. Just don't play when you respawn, ZAP NOW and try somewhere else.

 

ALSO (off subject) a few listed "public" servers are working out ways to be 'private' - you get kicked when you login, you die suddenly with no explanation, or there are just threats (like "character wipe") in the server title - what's this about? these are private not public? but listed as public?  and the Admins should not be capable (I mean technically) of pulling these stunts. Anyone know anything about that? DayzSA policy - early on - was that only big organizations could run servers (like, orgs that could field 50 servers??, and they had to run 1 public for every 2 private) and that Admins had power to turn their game on/off, to decide reset time, and that was about all. No 'personal' intervention...  so whats with the listing <"public server" - "you cant play you'll get kicked">

I understand its alpha and I bought the game knowing full well the bugs. But if at any time there was to be an immediate hotfix this would be it. When you spend HOURS trying to find items and food and weapons to log out and log back on an hour later to see it ALL gone because of the game, What incentive do I have to want to continue playing knowing its probably going to happen again. Yes you got my money for the game thats the point. Im helping you FUND it and DEVELOP it. If i had been gunned down i would not have even made this post but that not being the case it makes me not want to touch the game again until late beta or release.

I have tried that several times and for the past 15 minuted and over 15 servers its the same. Again it is alpha but this is an issue that needs to be addressed and fix ASAP

This. Whatever you do don't do anything that might update your character. Sometimes you have to wait for as long as 5 hours for the database to realize "Oh hey, you're actually in stary sobor and have a shotgun"

If you as much as pick up a rotten fruit when this happens consider all your gear to be lost.

 

P.S don't hop onto multiple servers in desperation, it might ruin your odds.

Stay off of 30 man servers, every time i have had a problem like that since the last patch it has been on a 30 man server
