Decisions...

Hi guys, it's me again...I have a few decisions to make, and i'm not only bored, but also want your input on the matter, along with my problems i'll post what I think i'll do, feedback please.

-trying to decide, mosin, or M4, I already have a mosin, no ammo, or attachments. I'll only be using the mosin for long-ranged engagements. But, long-range scopes are hard to find...Is it worth looking for ammo and a scope, when I can easily find an M4, ammo and parts? - I probably will use my mosin till I find a good M4, then swap...

- I've been talking with a fully geared dude, and he was in Elektro. We've been talking for a while now, and planned on meeting up when...He was killed... Should I wait, and loot up Elektro, or leave him to catch up later... I feel my best move would be to wait.

-Finally, my blood levels are low, should I risk staying in Elektro, and loot during night, in order to gather supplies. Or, head to the outskirts of Chernaus, a long run, but I might make it with my current provisions, sadly, that would mean leaving my other friend behind, as he doesn't have enough to last...I think I'm going to stay in Elektro with my friend, wait for the fully geared guy, get myself partially geared, then make the trek with the other two.

My advice...

 

Due to the lack of content in the the Alpha, one of the few things you can do i make your own decisions.  So my advice is to make your own way & decisions.

People aren't generally just good at this game IMO. Don't put too much faith in a random, he may just turn around and kill you :p

Pretty much what I would advise you to as well.

 

I'd run with the M4 until you find the scope and/or bipod for the Mosin.  THEN think about finding a Mosin. But as AsOiX stated... if you're in town, the M4 is what you want. More lead down range.  Close quarters combat the Mosin is too slow and too small of a clip.  But, if you're outside of the big towns, or you have a partner with an M4, the Mosin is the weapon to have.  You could keep an FXN for in town... large clip and fast fire.

 

As for your buddy... I'd leave him.  You can always hook up later.  It's a survival game... you don't survive waiting for people to show up.

 

If you're hurting I'd be on the looking for a well and as much food as you can stuff into yourself.  Get yourself to a healing state and get your blood level up.  However you think you can best do that is your plan.

I prefer coupling a long range mosin to an FNX45, using the first when running in the wilds and using the scope to check the situation when I try enter a city/big town. Pistol in my hand when I explore buildings looking for loot. I never lost a close fight against an m4 with that.

 

Imho sticking in big cities is a bit like asking for trouble. If you are trying to find loot, go in not popular towns. Your friends will catch up with you wherever they spawned again.

 

I wouldn't stick around with random people either, unless they are friendly or invite you to join them on skype/other voice program.

I'm convinced on your weapon method, as the FNX45 does as much damage as an M4.

I know I shouldn't stay in Elektro, but I really need supplies fast,so i'm going through with that.

As for this guy whom died, we have chatted, and he seems friendly enough, but as you guys said, I'll leave him, and ask him to catch up. Although, knowing this guy, he's probably already geared, and been killed twice, and is probably already isin Elektro at our rendezvous waiting XD

- Don't bother with a mosin if you can't shoot moving targets from a great distance using kentucky windage.

 

- Depends if you think he's worth the wait. Some people play better in groups, others play better alone.

 

- It is possible to get a fair amount of loot at night, as long as you remain vigilant and don't expose yourself. The thing about night looting is that you might miss a few spots or items in the dark, I HIGHLY recommend not using a flashlight or light source to give away your position. Especially in Electro. That is a death sentence.

Ugh, now i'm feeling like ditching the mosin.

He is definable worth it, but as mentioned earlier, he's probably waiting on us.

What if I go onto one of the servers with a like 1 guy on done it before, the only problem are the zeds.

That is a death sentence.

Ignore this is you play on Hardcore servers. A Flashlight on a HC server doesn't carry the same risk as on Regular. You still got to be careful, but flashing around a flashlight doesn't tend to get you instantly killed.

 

As to the guns, IDK. I don't run with a gun so can't comment.

 

As to the other, if the guy is still in chat with you, then sure, hang about and even help him out if you can. If not, then it isn't going to matter much.
