Rushthezeppelin 8 Posted January 29, 2014 Did they take the loot out of these in the last patch? Just combed through a very obviously unlooted NWAF earlier and the tents were all empty. Used to be a great way to pimp out my M4 (Barbie gun lol) pretty nicely in those tents. Perhaps the server I was on just had a fluke spawning the loot there? razguul@gmail.com 80 Posted January 29, 2014 A lot of loot spawns got messed up with the latest patch, tents got a pretty major hit as they don't spawn any loot at all.
Luminaryleoso 0 Posted January 29, 2014 A lot of loot spawns got messed up with the latest patch, tents got a pretty major hit as they don't spawn any loot at all. This is not a accident, it was on purpose, most people believe they the developers are testing out other spawn points including places like 3 story barns which now have a high spawn rate. I highly doubt that, but do provide some evidence of your statement.
Luminaryleoso 0 Posted January 29, 2014 I highly doubt that, but do provide some evidence of your statement.Well, as far as evidence goes, the first thing I would point to is the competency of the developers. These guys would know if they completely removed all tent and other spawn points that are no longer available. They do testing on every patch for weeks, they are a highly skilled group, reguardless of gripes people may have about a game in apha, this loot removal from tents is intentional. Now, weather it is to test other previously vacant of loot spawn points, that can be considered theory. But, what else would they remove a entire spawn area for? I have also read in other threads that currently, their is a max amount of loot and zombies that can spawn on a server at this point due to server load issues. So, with the new city that was just added, and is full of loot as much as any city in the game, that may have been the trade off.
razguul@gmail.com 80 Posted January 29, 2014 The part about the developers is hardly proof, I think the mod alpha state speaks for itself about how competent they are at patching. Theories and guesses are fine, but it's not proof. Proof would be a quote from a developer of DayZ stating that they have removed it for X reason, not reading between the lines and assuming. Unless I see something like that I will just keep assuming that they have broken the loot spawn system, it's not the first time they break something and it won't be the last. (This goes for any game and any game developer, it's part of making a game, you break stuff, but don't act like it's intended)

These guys are not idiots, they Know there was no loot in Balota or NW tents. Come on man, lol.
razguul@gmail.com 80 Posted January 29, 2014 Knowing that there is no loot is not the same as removing the loot intentionally.
