ep_metheus 75 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Hello survivors, To all of you who are new to the game I'd like to recommend a series of video guides I made. They deal with different aspects of the game, usually with what seems to give new players the most trouble.I've played the DayZ mod for over a year and the standalone version since it was first released. I don't claim to know everything, but I put a lot of effort into trying things out and do research. I enjoy making videos, so a large part of my time in the game I spend "shooting", but not using an M4 or a Mosin, but a recording software. So if you ever run into a guy who's for instance just staring at a shed (probably taking screenshots) or strips his clothes off and jumps off a pier (recording something) there's a good chance it's me. Many times I've died to get the stuff I needed for my videos testing things like how many punches it takes to kill a zombie or working on a video about "murdering ladders".Anyway, I might not be some notoriously known person on the forums, but I promise you: The stuff in the videos will help you get started with the game. If you have any feedback or want to ask a question please post in this thread. I will be happy to answer. I hope we can exchange survival stories by a campfire some day. Take care (and don't eat rotten fruit). Rudette 435 Posted February 1, 2014 Ah! I like this.Being mindful of positioning and exposure is a very useful tip, especially for those new to shooters or adapting to the slower pace of DayZ.
ProvokeMe 12 Posted February 1, 2014 Well done. Concise and informative. Some of the stuff I had figure out on my own, dying a lot tends to do that. But a lot of really good advice here.
