I think it would be realistic when eating beans for a short period of time character becomes gassy and funny noises come out of his posterior, making practically impossible a sneak up on other players due to the noises and smell.

 

As a matter of fact when a gassy player comes close to other players they should be getting a message like: " I smell something funny in the air", and that would be a warning that another person is close.

Only if the bean eater receives the message "I have a funny smell in your nose".
