Adding Vehicles Sooner

In top of that, theres onky going to be around 10 cars and 15 bikes per server. Finding one is extremly lucky.

I talked to Dean he said there will be 1000+ vehicles on every server. Vehicles will be extremely common.

Really? when was this? can you prove it? what exactly did he say?

1000+ vehicles WILL ruin the game in a day.

It would be nice if they add few push bikes to get around then add cars ect... in future.

Although I do agree the spawn points need to be fixed, there are like 5* towns (excluding Solnichniy) and 2 factories/large industrial areas within a 5 km radius of Solnichniy meaning that you can get to any of those easily within 15 minutes so I don't really know what this 30 mins you are talking about is.

Neither do I. Berezino is less than a 10min run from Solnichniy, so I'm not sure how the OP takes 30mins to get anywhere unless they play using Braille.

Not dying is a great way to avoid spending 30minutes running. I quite like DayZ without the vehicles actually. And the thermal scopes. And powerful modern sniper rifles......

The thermal scopes, alien tech sniper rifles and other uncanon weaponry is an instant immesion kill. Of course, considering that Dayz isn't involved with Arma 2's canon in any way.

Since I'm a newcomer to the whole DayZ experience, I'm curious about how vehicles worked in the mod,

hope some of you veterans could enlighten my curiousity.

 

Not because i'm so eager to ride a car or bike though.

I actually was kind of surprised/dissapointed to read about the plan to have cars driving around in the surroundings.

 

Imagine hunting wildlife and then some car comes racing by, scarring off the animal you finally got closer to.

The animal would be alarmed and run like hell...bye bye potential protein

 

So I'd hope tires can be stabbed flat...fueltanks can be filled with sand/Sugar/whatever does the trick to block/ruin the engine.

Perhaps the spraycan can then also be used to paint the windows black, forcing the carowner to smash them to regain sight again.

There's endless possibilities for other usage of the rubber from the tires also,

And no, im not thinking of tireswings for near the campfire...

 

Bikeframes could have a new purpose for tentpoles, stuff like that...

I've been rambling on about other ideas about vehicles also at a thread called "Vehicles....(planning)" in the general discussion section.

Dont know why , but for some reason I got the tendency to go bananas sometimes in replies...

Perhaps i should combine the 2 posts about vehicles, and even add more ideas to them for the suggestion section ?!

 

 

 

 

"Run to the hill, run for your life " (quoting a imo lame song from a vice versa band, but it fits Dayz perfectly imho....
