Just because i see the coast as a quality loot spot, doesn't mean i never leave it.

Clearly, going inland wasnt made to be a priority with the standalone... given that Balota and the military base above Kamenka have plenty to go around.

 

 

Worst idea ever. Should have removed Balota racks and the mil base and kept the mod spawns, imho.

Dunno why... but when i spawn i just follow the shore to elektro never got shot just looting stuff and im always in 40/40 servers?

most people are always camping at the airfield i guess.. 

 

but like i describe what i do as an freshspawn, learn the places you start at, follow the shorelines to the left? i guess how i would call it, go to elktro find food (there is a water pump) be lucky in fire-stations (get an fire-axe)

then ill head to cherno to go to the construction-site's find an backpack, go to arfield sneak a lil bit get into houses find guns.

 

this way i find it exiting to play the game ^^

Well I have the game since about one month and I always died of shitty stuff.

 

Most of the time I died because of starving to death or of sickness, because there where no loot. Is the loot still broken? Most of the time I find nothing in the starting village (Kamyshovo), no food, no weapon, no drinks, only shoes and pants...

Then I swich servers, and also nothing. Ok sometimes I find rotten stuff...

There should be at least some loot for every new player, like a knife, baseball bat or something else. Also some food and drinks.

 

When I then walk to Elektro to find some stuff I always get shot by some idiots. Most of the time I even don't have a weapon.

 

PvP is ok for me, but other player should have a chance, too. There should be a punishment for players who kill unarmed players. At least marking them as PK-char.

 

So you log in, try finding some food, drinks and at least a weapon to fight the zombies, but u end with starving to death , die of sickness/ poisoning  or of PK-douchbags who like killing unarmed players with sniper or assault rifles.

 

Until they implement some type of humanity system (like the one in my signature below).............the only thing you can do is KOS everyone.

 

Not worth playing.  If I want to KOS I'll go play COD, I can get more frags per minute there.  Plus it's fun to KOS there and not annoying permadeath KOS like DayZ.

Hey guys, thx for answers. I already have the map and use it. But I am not a lucky guy with lootspawns. And everytime I reached Elektro, I got killed by guys with rifle or they crying for help and when u reach them, they kill you with a revolver. Douches!

 

So I stoped walk at the coast. I started my way through the forest. But if you don't find food and drinks at the start, you sometimes don't reach the next village. Especially if u don't have a compass in the woods.

 

So I don't need many loot at the start, but some basic food and drinks would be nice. And a weapon... sometimes I search an house and then some zombies glitching thru the walls and attack me. And what to do against 2 or more zombies without a weapon. Ok run away, but if u need food/drinks, u need to search the villages and so u find zombies.

 

Where is the fun with shooting newbies with a rifle or fake cry for help and then kill the helping players? Are the guys not good enough to compete fair?

The best suggestion i can give you is this: DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT YoU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW!

Ive been making it work so far by just doing exactly what everyone says not to and heading for elektro.  If the doors are shut ,great, if not - come back later. Choose a low pop server, search only the high loot places, never stop moving, grab what you can and run away.

 

Priority is a fire axe it makes zombies not a problem at all, 1 hit kill.

 

Eat and drink everything you can find, and people will probably hate me for this, but when your starting out - if everythings been looted out, just switch servers.  It seems you spawn almost dead to be honest, you really need to eat and drink a lot to get your strength up.  If theres no loot for 20 clicks, it just means you might waste 20 clicks of running just to get to somewhere where there is nothing! 

 

Might not be the purest way to do it, but thats the way im having hte most success at the moment, it actually gives me a chance to play the game rather than starving to death, or spending ages going really far inland for loot and just getting shot by someone.

Don't go to elektro. All the idiots are in or around elektro and on the coast. Unless you can survive there, I would not recommend you to go there.

 

Try to recognize where your starting point is. Then find the first water pump and drink until you're full. So you're not thirsty anymore and shouldn't be for the next 100 minutes.

Your char starts with 1000 energy, gets hungry at 600 and starts to starve at 100 energy. So you have 900 energy time to find food. 900 energy are at least 60 minutes if you're moving.

 

In 60 minutes you can get to every place on the map if you know how to navigate. So just head inland and find some villages that are not looted. If the houses are looted don't waste your time and move on. You soon will get to a point where every building is closed because either nobody was there before or the guys who were there before didn't need more basic supplies because they got it out of the towns you just visited.

Its so funny... everybody tells something different. Well, I'll never go back to elektro. Maybe later with a good weapon to kill the sniper noobs. ;)

 

I hope they fix the loot bug soon.

different things work for different people I Guess. Im at the balota airfield at the moment, I'm sure im going to die! :) But itll be afun death!
