METHOD TO STOP COMBAT LOGGERS!

I am genius!

We can stop combat loggers! If we work together and spread this around!

You can not log out if a zombie/player is within a certain range, but the thing is that hopefully that the new zombie increase update is soon then add this feauture because people may just try to log out to find if players are near, so that's why I said "zombie/player".

I think its a good idea :) anyone else think it is or want to add to this?

Yeah. Not sure this would work. Then what about if you are playing and have to leave real quick? You are unable to log out just because players or zombies are around? Not sure that would really work well as a game mechanic.

Work on queued login has begun and should be implemented soon. This allows for penalties in certain situations, in the form of a timeout. Which means their character will stay in the server they logged out from, until their timeout has expired. It's the devs solution to both combat logging and server hopping. Default time is 30 seconds + plus any penalty applied to combat logging. So that means, as a minimum, their character will still be present for at least 30 seconds. During this time you can loot, kill, anything, to that player and the results will be saved.

This certain range thing will not work, great getting picked off by an sniper 900m away, great...

 

Especially with snipers, this would not work, they range would have to be like 100m MAX

Most modern topics about standalone are so stupid and pointless saying *I am not bitching about it being alpha* then proceeds to bitch about something thats broken because the games in alpha!

 

That being said this is not one of those post,this is something the mod has lots of servers doing,if you log onto allmost any overwatch server it has this as well,it atleast makes you wait 10 seconds!

 

Good idea and beans for you! for making a post that is not just bitching!

 

but It is a alpha so this might take dean some time,first he wants to add more glitchy acid paint!
