Difference Between Cmags and Stag mags?

Recommended Posts

Is there a difference between Cmags and stag mags like does Cmags do more damage then stag mags they seem like they do and i noticed they say NATO Rds vs the coupled mags which don't I always thought NATO Rds did more dam vs standard or is this just a difference in size and description?

And if there is not a difference then why is one called a Cmag and the other a Stagnag mag?

P.S. If this is posted somewhere already then I'm sorry for the double post I just couldn't find it so thought I would just post asking. So please don't flame me for double post thank you in advance for any reply's on this.

Why would a magazine have anything to do with the damage of a gun? And they have different names, because they are different models. There is zero difference ingame between the two.

wasn't talking about the mag its self was talking about weather or not the cmag when first picked up carried a different 5.56 rd like a hallow tip or such being its a NATO rd vs a stagnag that is not NATO.

Cmag means the magazine is made from composite material (plastic). Stagmag ("stagnag" in-game i suspect it's a spelling error) means standard government issue, and is made from metal. In real life there is really no difference in performance.  Cmag's may cause fewer jams and bad feeds into the weapon due to tighter tolerances in manufacturing.  Otherwise, purely aesthetic.

The only difference is that Stanags appear in regular (30rnd) version and coupled (60rnd) version. Cmags appear in 10rnd, 20rnd, 30rnd and 40rnd versions. Apart from that, they are all the same and you load both Stanag and Cmag with plain 5.56mm bullets.

Ones made of plastic and the other is made of metal.

Stanag comes in 2 variants and CMAG comes in like 5 or so

CMags can be painted, Stanags cannot.

Thats all, they don't get special bullets or anything. Just plain old 5.56 NATO rounds

Sir, may I introduce you to google...its this new thing that can tell you anything about anything.

pretty cool stuff.

C mags and P mags are aftermarket and typically advantageous to the AR platform because they are plastic (lighter) and offer more capacity due to their length/design.

The Stanag mag is just their terminology in SA for a standard 30 round AR mag.
