Character wipes when experiencing odd server logon issue

Hi fellow bandits/sheep =)

 

I have started experiencing, since yesterday, an event that resets my character and everything on him.

Sometimes when I log into a server, I only see a landscape without anything covering it - there are no clouds, no trees, no houses, no anything. Just the ground and the ground textures. The screen doesn't respond to mouse movement or anything, it appears to be frozen. This happens right after the "waitng for server" messages and list of players on that server vanishes. 

 

OK, no biggie I think and try another server. Hitting Esc works perfectly fine, as well as quitting. However, when this empty world thingie has occured, the next server (and 10 consequent ones) spawns me a spankin new character. No amount of server hops revert that happening. 

 

Has anyone else experienced this?

 

I will provide a screenshot when it happens the next time.

This will happen til next patch, I don't know the exact details to describe it as I lnow almost nothing of what it takes to host a server for this game but basically there is an issue with the server hosters and the multiple hives. The empty world should have nothing to do with it, I lose characters without experienceing it, though I do know what you refer to. Essentially only one hive that i'm aware of is functioning properly and the rest may or may not save your character.

OK, so I experienced it once again. However, while waiting for the dark seeing to kick in, as well as finding the print screen-button, the screen flashed black and displayed "please wait...". After a few seconds, I warped into my char with gear and everything. So, solution is simply to stay put. It happened again after that go, and after 1 minute of waiting I finally came back to my char. Patience is the key!

Hmm, not quite had the same issue but all of a sudden my gear is being partially wiped. A backpack I've had for weeks - gone. Also half the items in my tac vest and my gloves of all things

 

I have been playing on the same server for the past few weeks without any issues, never switching. I logged off last night as usual - hiding in a bush.

Logged in tonight on the same server and they were just gone.

 

What's worse is that everything I have re-found in the last 2.5 hours has been wiped again after I logged off - along with some other random items found ages ago.

 

Geez, give a man a chance to survive - even the server is pvp'ing me!

I'm experienced the same issue.

I tried to login to a server.

The login process seemed to hang and because of that i interrupt it, after this action my char was reseted to the standard starting char.
