Wall glitches.

Anyone know why there is present sometimes in some servers? and sometimes not? I am not sure if is an aleatory issue or lag issue. Is the most annoying bug for me, any information would help. Thank you.

Actually - any sort of information from your end would help immensely. I don't have a remote clue, what wallbug you're even talking about?

Could you at least explain what the bug/glitch is?
All I'm getting out of this is something about walls.

Actually - any sort of information from your end would help immensely. I don't have a remote clue, what wallbug you're even talking about?

Where the hell did you get that internet speed from? NASA?

It's a server, not a home connection, haha.

He's figured it out. ;) It's the connectionspeed of the server we're using. :)

 

Anyway: the video you posted explains it, thank you. However-  that is an ARMA-problem and didn't really matter so far. It has to do with the connection / desync-issues. I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon. But down the road the desync-issues will be resolved and it will be better.

I think yes, its really matter a lot!! The people can see you and kill you through the walls. I will be very disappointed if Bohemia won't be able to fix it.

It does matter. I didn't say it doesn't matter. I said it didn't matter so far in ARMA, because there's no competetive survival like DayZ - which is why there's many problems with the engine DayZ has to deal with.

 

But - why would you sprint towards a wall smashing your face in it? Doesn't really make sense to me. Most of the time you're next to a wall like that is when you're abusing 3DP, which is worth punishing for, in my book. :P

 

Anyway - this only happens when you're sprinting into a wall. Don't do it and you're fine.

I can give you one example where you will hate this bug:
 
People coming for you through walls and you can't see them or kill them. Then, when they are close to you, they stop running against the wall and kill you.
 
You are a lucky guy if you haven't seen lammers like them so far.

You're new here, aren't you? It's not about bragging how pro it is - it is enjoying the game in a much more immersive state.

 

I did not say it is punishable as such, I simply said it's abusing the mechanics, as you wouldn't be able to look over a wall without presenting your head on a plate for everyone that would be on the other side. Calm down a little - I am not having a go at you. I was merely explain as to why it's not a highpriority thing. It's a bug. It's one of the big issues with the BI-titles. It might be fixed eventually, as it's part of the performance-optimisation.

 

Going on the forums requesting it to be fixed immediately won't help them fixing it, though.

As you may have seen in the video you can't actually bug through the wall without a lot of luck and a couple of tries - and whilst running against the wall you're still on your side of the wall and not on the other side - that is just down to Multiplayer-desync where it seems like the character is on the other side, because it's not synced in time. In reality it simply looks lik he's running against the wall for the actual player.

 

It works the same way with Zombies - where you think they're teleporting. It's just down to poor performance of the server and the network being out of sync.

Believe me.... is a HIGH priority thing when the people are exploiting a bug to kill you easly..... Please read my last commentary.

Ok, can you please explain me how will you be able to kill someone if you are in a house and the guy is coming for you through the walls? Believe me, you CAN'T kill him. The only way to kill him is go out and kill him in the other side of the wall.
 
Are you thinking isn't a high priority thing now?
 
I can use the wall glich all the times in bug servers. And I say "bug servers" because sometimes (few times) the servers are working OK.

I may point this out again: he's not actually coming for you through the walls. It just looks like that FOR YOU. And only for you. He is still outside on his screen, thus making it impossible for him to kill you through the wall.

 

Anything else will be desync and is a known issue with the current patch. If you didn't know that, I suggest going out there on the forums and search for threads about it. There are loads.

 

Most of it will be fixed soon, as it only just appeared with the latest patch.

I think you are misunderstanding me..... My problem is when people are hidding trough a wall and you can't see them. For example, I am covering a hallway in a house with my M4. Then a guy with an axe run against a wall and he is approaching to me but I can see him. When the guy is close to me, stop running against the wall and kill me with his axe.

Can you rephrase that? It - again - sounds like your enemy is running against the wall to actively bug through the wall, which would not be the case, as it doesn't appear to be like that for him, thus making it impossible for him to see you. On his screen he's still at the wall, not where you see him bugging inside the house. YOU are the one gaining the advantage of knowing where he is. But then again - don't run against the wall - it's not helping you - only others.

On his screen he's still at the wall, not where you see him bugging inside the house. YOU are the one gaining the advantage of knowing where he is. But then again - don't run against the wall - it's not helping you - only others.

You can see how my friend is approaching to me behind the wall and I can't see him. Yesterday a guy with an axe did this to me and kill me, he used the bug and appeared behind me.

 

Now, tell me if you keep thinking this isn't a High priority thing. For me the game is unplayable for this sh*t

I finally understand you. :) Very good - it all makes sense now.

 

If I were you I would wait for the next patch, as the desync has been quite excessive in the current patch. Might be something to come back to, when the next patch has (hopefully) solved that desync.
