Barric 1 Posted January 27, 2014 Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this. I've been playing DayZ for a couple of weeks now. When i enter in large Cities or when I approach gas stations, my DayZ client crashes and my computer prompts "DayZ has stopped Working". I've recently updated my graphics cards and I have my DayZ settings on low. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Also, whenever I'm playing I sometimes get a message that says some Military Beret cannot be loaded. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) If you are missing items check your version is up to date (should be to connect to servers) and if so update or reinstall if needed. Can you post your system specs up please? EDIT: DayZ is a workout for your graphics card but it's the processor that deals with the majority of tasks, Really you need a good CPU to be playing this without too many issues. Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted January 27, 2014 You said you bought a new graphics card, yet that says you are using an Intel 4000 on board chip (laptop) Card name: Intel® HD Graphics 4000 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Chip type: Intel® HD Graphics Family DAC type: Internal Device Type: Full Device Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166&SUBSYS_05521028&REV_09 Display Memory: 4037 MB Dedicated Memory: 965 MB Shared Memory: 3072 MB Also i found this right at the bottom, im looking into what it could possibly be.. Problem signature: P1: DayZ.exe Also if you use 3 monitors your onboard chip won't like it, i have to head out for a few hours but i should have more answers by then. I assume he meant the drivers for his singular graphics processor

Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted January 27, 2014 Hardware wise you should have no issues what so ever. at a long shot have you tried to re-install DayZ?
kichilron 8550 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Go here and send the "DayZ.rpt" to us after it stopped working:.C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\DayZ.EDIT: You may have to enable your hidden files in Windows 7: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/ Edited January 27, 2014 by kichilron
Barric 1 Posted January 27, 2014 Hardware wise you should have no issues what so ever. at a long shot have you tried to re-install DayZ? I did a fresh reinstall of the game today and it looks like I am able to get near the gas station where I would originally get disconnected at. I haven't been able to find a large city to enter yet so I'm not sure if it will crash again there. It looks hopeful though. However, at times I do still get loading error messages in the game. I will upload examples of the error messages. Go here and send the "DayZ.rpt" to us after it stopped working:.C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\DayZ.EDIT: You may have to enable your hidden files in Windows 7: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-7/ I haven't been able to replicate DayZ crashing after I reinstalled, but I will upload my DayZ.rpt file just in case.....Nevermind, the file size is actually too big to post and I cannot upload rar files. Would you like me to send the DayZ.rpt file some other way?
Derpy_Hooves (DayZ) 4521 Posted January 28, 2014 Don't worry about those errors, ultimately they wont effect your gameplay much, at least your client is now running stable. Feel free to PM me if you have any other issues
