Well, if you count the sawed-off shotgun as a primary, then three... it can fit inside most backpacks (10 slots).

Well THIS WAS THE CASE but at the moment i have found that if you are carrying a primary weapon  on your back and you pick up another, the weapon on your back is disappearing ?  

 

any one else found this problem ?

One on your back, one in your hand. You cannot switch without dropping the one you are currently holding, tho'.

yea but at least that means if hostiles engage you at distance you can carry mosin in hands for long range , then swap to m4 as they get closer , and finally enter a building and cover door with a shotgun you are carrying in your backpack lol , just need red headband to become rambo lol

ya like i said since the patch the weapon on your back just disappears when you pick up your secondary main weapon, don't know why or were it goes  ,, this as happened to me twice
