The Batman 75 Posted January 25, 2014 I'm sure this has been mentioned but it appears the Burlap sack is rather broken at the moment. I'm aware this should be a bug report but thought it was pretty damn funny/terrifying and worth sharing. All I need now is a chainsaw and I can recreate one of the most annoying enemies in Resident Evil 4: We should definitely, in the future, be able to cut eye holes in the Burlap Sack and use it as a mask.

Caboose187 (DayZ) 3036 Posted January 25, 2014 Actually OP, the burlap sack is supposed to be used for when you capture another player and you don't want them to see where you might take them but I do think being able to cut holes in it for eyes would still be awesome

However, as you can see from the screenshot, I clearly can. Another thing I've noticed - you can disinfect the Burlap sack with (obviously) disinfectant. Anyone know what this is for? You can disinfect mostly anything, it doesnt do anything except removing any infection if there was any.
damagefilter 34 Posted January 25, 2014 (edited) I think you can disinfect about anything with disinfectant.Like the anti-bacteria mommys in real life. They do that too.Not disinfected, not clean enough to sit on it. Anyway. That you can put it on your own head is intended featureAction: Burlap sack can be placed on head of self or target But yeah, the screen should go black. Also, eye holes would be awesome. I know wearing it on your own head is intended, just thought the screen should go black!

weedmasta 784 Posted January 25, 2014 Thank you for your valid and interesting input. Valid yes, interesting, not so much. :p On to the topic, I have tried it a couple of days ago on a hardcore server. I am not sure if it actually put it on my head but I could see and hear everything clearly.
Lancer 2-2 14 Posted January 25, 2014 Can we put it someone's head if we have them handcuffed? If they are in 1st person mode does it black out their screen?

The Batman 75 Posted January 25, 2014 Can we put it someone's head if we have them handcuffed? If they are in 1st person mode does it black out their screen? Not sure about doing it to someone who is in handcuffs, but if you go to first person you can still see. Valid yes, interesting, not so much. :P On to the topic, I have tried it a couple of days ago on a hardcore server. I am not sure if it actually put it on my head but I could see and hear everything clearly. I noticed that I had to take everything off my head (a wolf mask and a black bandanna) before I could put the Burlap Sack on.
Maia (DayZ) 93 Posted January 25, 2014 lol friends and I (4 of us in total) all have burlap sack hats, half of us have burlap sack backpacks. We are the bag head united heroes :D... most people just run from us though :(
Blades421 66 Posted January 25, 2014 lmao, scare crows are creepy enough without packing M4's or fire axes....maybe thats why people run??? lol
Slyguy65 499 Posted January 25, 2014 This game surely breeds many weirdos and psychopaths.Well that could lead into a very opinionated look at society, but suffice it to say, yaaaa modern society breeds and suppresses the weirdos it breeds so ya they gotta find an outlet somewhere (points at DayZ)
Etherimp 1323 Posted January 25, 2014 Wait did anyone test it on a handcuffed victim? Maybe it works on them. My friend and I tested it this morning... to answer your question in short: No. When you have a sack in your hands, you can scroll wheel and it will say "Place on head".. when someone is infront of you, that same text will appear two times, like so Place on HeadPlace on HeadIt doesn't indicate which one is which, so you have to guess... And no matter whether you placed it on someone elses head or they placed it on their own, and whether they are handcuffed or not, they can still see in both 3rd and 1st person.
