I don't give details in the videos because I show a demonstration. I still want people to "figure it out". No fun in just telling people how to get best results of everything is there. It is not only about condition, buttstock, hand guard, scope and bipod combination should be in place too. It takes long time to gather right parts and is always very easy to loose them in DayZ. PoebusApolloHC 24 Posted January 25, 2014 I usually prefer using the mosin when playing because I do not usually go into cities. When my group does venture into cities for loot, I like to provide over watch instead of getting into CQC. Also, by taking the mosin and having a revolver as a secondary, I can maintain a rapid, semi auto fire rate at close quarters with a few magnum auto reloaders.In the end it's personal preference, but for traveling and looting airfields, I enjoy a mosin, while I would like an M4 for urban environments. I believe they labeled it 'weapon switching' or something similar. it's generally one of the first things I do after logging in. I've read in the forum(haven't tested myself) that it switches the shotgun to shoot both barrels at once. Regards. Edit: Ok scratch that, I checked in game and its labeled "toggle weapons". I get the feeling english is the second language of whomever named these commands lol. It seems a bit confusing at best, 'toggle fire mode' or just a plain 'fire mode' would be more direct. I've got 2 buddies I play with fairly regularly and we've traversed most of the map including the NWAF.My one friend has a Mosin with limited attachments and the other a sawed-off shotgun. I've personally been rocking an M4 with about 4 clips and a bunch of ammo. Now, I finally stumble across a pristine Mosin after they've logged off to go to bed.So my question is do I swap out the M4 for the Mosin? Mind you I'd be potentially giving up on a lot of ammo. I'm looking for suggestions on what's better for endgame with a couple friends.M4 or Mosin? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks. Mosin for mid to long range and a Magnum for CQB. Honestly, I really want to prefer the M4 (in real life I would definitely take an M4), but the fact of the matter is that it's pretty terrible unless you're up-close spraying. That and the fact that weapon toggling is currently half broken. Sometimes it goes into semi-automatic, sometimes it doesn't.
