Fall damage

So...what's even up with fall damage in this game?

 

Once I fell off like a 3 foot tall rock and instantly died on impact...

Another time... I was in the hospital, walking around, looking for loot, figured it was already looted, charged out of there and died from the stairs?  

 

I know the excuse for the mod was that extreme fall damage was part of ArmA 2 and could not be fixed. 

But that isn't an excuse anymore...

 

Why must fall damage be worse than gunshots?

It's not fall damage, it's a glitch with the engine, and it's gonna be a while for them to fix it. (Can't wait till they do, though. :D)

Anyways, never EVER walk off ledges. Even if it's 2 inches. YOU WILL DIE.

I have died from running up stairs so many times it's ridiculous.
