In the future, we should be able to create safezones for people to trade, learn and commune in.

So i left this topic a bit open to discuss. And i knew some people would point out certain things and i let them. Here's a little thing;

 

There are no " barriers ". You can be killed in the safe zone. I used the term "safe zone" in that it's a camp build, walled off and protected from zombies and possible bandits. People would be able to enter, and trade items for items or items for currency. Nothing would be generated, everything has to come from the outside. This said, i do understand why other consider this a bad idea. However, there is always a risk of getting shot. The arguement stating that bandits would simply wait a bit back for people to wander off is the same as you going into balota,NWAF,Electro,Cherno or any other place that is popular, has lots of loot and has frequent activity.

I never said there aren't any strings involved.

 

Now that the mayor issue here is answered. I'd say continue the discussions while i'm commenting on some of the other issues here on this idea.

Player constructions are already a confirmed goal for the dev team, so I imagine that eventually we will see this type of thing in the game.

 

 

In which case i'm delighted and i'll wait patiently.

Player built bases are encouraged and the mod even had tent cities built by players that could be looted.

There is not such a thing as factions in dayz, from there on all i see is nonsense, you don't seem to have think through before write.

 

You want something you don't have, you either look for it, kill for it or trade.

i'm thinking outside the box aparently, and what were you thinking when writing so offensively?

 

Oh, and you don't think there aren't factions? Bandits shoots other bandits = rivalry = 2 groups fighting others = a faction

 

Or the same with bandits against regular survivors. You will always have enemies, it's up to you who your enemy will be.

NO!

 

Seriously this suggestion is awful.  Look at how bad it is in Nether or WarZ.  People just camp them all day waiting for free loot.  Also you can follow someone out of the safe zone, kill them, and loot their shit from a safe spot.

 

No.  Just effin no.

 

As someone said, if someone wants to set up a safe haven and guard it themselves, that's perfectly fine, but there SHOULD NOT be areas in the game where people can't be killed or attacked, or anything that is "safe" from everything.

 

No..  Just no.

As someone who as played Nether and WarZ I would just like to say the camping isn't as bad in Nether as WarZ was. Also, if youre not dumb when walking out of a safe zone then its easy to cap the guy following you as soon as the protection wears off (which also means he cant shoot at all until his protection comes off 10 seconds after leaving the safe zone).

 

But I dont know if Safezones are meant for this game, I would be down for some player controlled safe zones where there is no "god mode" but other than that I just dont really think its meant for this game.
