Window Licker 504 Posted January 24, 2014 One thing that has been "bugging" me of late is where is the rest of the landmass that Chernarus is attached too, I know that when you hit the edge of the map it turns to a barren wasteland devoid of life, legend has it, from the nothing land come creatures of horror, know in Chernarus as "hackers" the seasoned citizens of Chernarus refer to them also as "Script Kiddies" but I digress. Is this based of a real life location or just made up? thinking way down the line (after final release), will heading thru the Grozovoy Pass take us to a land of riches, or will it make Chernarus look like a cakewalk? Given how amazing life in Chernarus can be do you think there is any drive by the dev's to make a harsher environment that only the true veterans of DayZ will be able to survive? Boxxy (DayZ) 22 Posted January 24, 2014 http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/48159-chernarus-in-real/As for your question about if it's based off real life. And god I hope so, I wish more content up north that makes it even harsher. That would just make it for me.

Isn't Chernarus big enough? :PHow many games do you guys can name, that have quite similar huge landscapes as DayZ? I think bigger maps will even drop the overall performance. But again I guess that would be breaking for cars and aircraft. I just feel once the game is all hashed out and working well it would be awesome to have a new map that no-one knows.
