Solopopo 330 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) So before the most recent patch I had a list of about 20 servers in my favorites that never reset me. I've had to erase them all because they aren't safe anymore. There are regular and hardcore servers/hives, we all know that, but it feels like there are at least 15 fragmented hives right now. I've been bouncing around testing server after server and I almost never spawn in the same place. I can't even tell which hive is the "correct" hive anymore. My server search bar is filled with hundreds of public/regular servers, almost none of which seem to be connected to any other. What the heck is going on? How does splitting the hive into two separate parts (regular/hardcore) create seemingly thousands of sub hives? The game is currently unplayable. inb4 alpherz herr durrr Edited January 23, 2014 by Solopopo
silversx 75 Posted January 23, 2014 how do you erase a fav server from list?
Proper Gander 45 Posted January 23, 2014 I have had some similar problems while testing the new version, but it is mostly that my character spawns on the beach forcing me to jump back to the main menu to search for a more "friendly" server (no, I am not switching between regular and hardcore servers). I think that things should settle down soon; in the mean time, I will continue to test to the best of my abilities.
TEST_SUBJECT_83 465 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) how do you erase a fav server from list? Just un-fav the same way you faved it. Etherious 907 Posted January 23, 2014 There are server central hive issues right now. If you read more then you would know that. :) I would wait for more information from Rocket on the issue. :3
Solopopo 330 Posted January 23, 2014 So to stop serving hopping they broke the hive? That makes sense.

SEC9 VANDEL 51 Posted January 24, 2014 Server hopping isnt an issue related to this problem. You should be able to "server hop" in a sense. What if the server you always go to is full? Then what ? You're supossed to just start over? I understand your definition of "server hopping" but thats a whole different thing that we cant really do anything about. The current issue is a server related problem that server providers need to fix on their end.

I'm not hopping, although when people first started posting about this problem the default response was "stop hopping noob." <_< Sounds to me like this is a problem we will be dealing with for a long time, after every update. Sigh. I guess I'm done for a while till this issue is fixed. I'm not about to sink 2 hours into a hive that might be gone tomorrow. SEC9 VANDEL 51 Posted January 24, 2014 Yeah, but did you see the post about how certian servers are connected to the central hive and others are not? Read through this: its twoards the end however rocket did explain that the DayZ owned servers are connected to the hive correctly and you will NOT lose charicter if you stay on these servers because they adjsted settings to make sure it would work properly on their end. Stay away from the other server providers and you should be fine. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/167343-servers-with-connection-issues-to-central-hive/
