Game won't launch! (Bad Image Issue)

Whenever I try to start the game on steam, directx installs....then nothing happens. When I try from its shortcut within the Steam folder, I am greeted with this lovely message:

 

C:\WINDOWSzSYSTEM32\X3DAudio1_6.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f

 

I have snooped around and heard people say this was a problem with directx. I have tried reinstalling the bugger, but ever time I'm just told I have the newest version, and the install closes. I even tried extracting a new version of directx to a folder and just copy pasting the dll file in question to replace my old dll file, but that was also to no avail. My graphics card drivers are also up to date.

 

I'm running Windows 8.1 with an NVIDIA GeForce GTA 660, an Intel Core i7-3770k, and Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.

 

Anybody got any ideas of something else I can try? Or am I doomed?

Nobody got any ideas? I've tried everything I can think of. Is there perhaps a way I can contact support for DayZ? Does sucha  thing exist?

Sorry to bump this but I'm still not able to even launch the game. I sent a message to DayZ support 4 days ago but have yet to hear anything back.
