Its just my honest oppinion, to many people are playing this game, instead of focussing on the actual testing and development, and then they complain it doesnt work hehe.

3 of us combed the entire map last night, we found plenty of food and didn't go in every house.  However we went to all military installations (that includes green mountain, zelenogorsk, and pavlovo) except balota and found the following, 1x m4, 2x mosins (at a school), a couple of fnx's, a couple of magnums and one shotgun.  Weapons are really scarce and i think that's cool.  However the nerfed stomach makes it almost impossible to get healthy.  I drank water at place i spawned (solinichy) and made my way to berizino, at berizino I ate some tuna, from berizino to NEAF, from NEAF to NWAF, halfway to NWAF I got hungry but i could only eat two cans before I was full... How are you supposed to reach 3000 energy and 4000 water and maintain that if you can barely eat anything?  I think your stomach capacity is half what it was before the patch.

 

Beeing and staying healthy is as easy as it was before. If you can find food you should have no problem getting healthy. Your stomach is smaller but it seems you can also eat more often. I can't even really feel the difference.

 

You also should think about your numbers. 4k water is max water and 3 k energy is nothing. A bag of rice is 3750 energy and you start with 1000 energy.

Regeneration starts at 3000 water and 3500 energy 1blood/sec. Max regen starts at 3500 water and 5000 energy 3blood/sec and after full on blood 3health/sec.

You can store 20k energy in your body. I should be above 10k energy right now. So I could play for 5.5 hours and still be above 5k energy and about 10-11hours away form getting hungry.

 

I really hope sickness/infections come soon into play because it's way to easy to stay healthy atm.

I think loot has seriously been reduced. I found a server who had just restarted and I went to Polana where I go to the well and get food and equipment and there was far less loot and the town had not been touched at all. I want to say 1/10 the previous loot at least on this area. Virtually no decent cloth items no can openers low food and ammo and the garages were empty too. 2 minutes after restart and there was barely enough loot in this town to keep me and one friend healthy. Before this update I could bring a group of ten people gear them up with basic equipment and clothing/storage bags and get us all fed and ready to move somewhere. Now it really seems like loot is reduced significantly. It has been said that barns spawn items more now but this doesn't explain why a whole town is empty essentially that is a major hub for larger areas right after a restart. Very odd for us to run into this roadblock. 

 

I think loot tables were adjusted far more than we have been let on to believe and I know its not simply an influx of more people because directly after restarts you should be able to at least find a decent amount of clothing items and food in a large town. I am curious to see exactly the full extent of this patch because we are seeing more things changed and added/tweaked than was reported. That fine to do just curious as to the changes.

 

Polana has about 6 or so kitchens and I used to be able to leave the town with finding about 6 or so can openers in various states but now I have yet to find one with 10 hours of playtime after the patch on several servers after restart. Miss my can openers :/

Weird. I was in Polona tonight and found an abundance of food and a can opener. It's become my go-to city when I spawn on the east now.

 

For the people saying that it's hard to become "healthy" due to stomach capacity, I just eat everything I find as I find it. It seems to work as a really efficient way to stack energy.

I think it's much better now. Before, you had to eat an unrealistic amount of food before getting full. It seems more realistic now, when you have to eat less more often. I also think thats why they have cut down the amount of food-spawns, because you don't need as much.

Healthy status doesn't seem to be harder to get than before.

yeah in my defense i only played about 4 hours last night, and my last concern was getting healthy since my character would get wiped after server reset anyways (server was not properly configured to save to hive), i was just startled by the huge nerf to stomach capacity, since i had to eat twice before getting healthy when we had huge stomachs, and now i can't even eat two cans without getting full.  But anyways if you guys say it isn't a big deal then maybe I should experiment more.

Jumling... don't give up hope. I think you found a server(s) that had been looted already.

 

My advice for a new player is to avoid Cherno/Elektro on populated servers... they will be looted by the time you get there, and you're taking the chance someone with weapons will KoS or just mess with you for the fun of it.  The same holds for Berezino -- everyone knows the backpack/mosin spawn locations there and if there are more than five people on the server, those spots will probably be looted by the time you get there.

 

Instead, find the nearest water pump, drink until you get the "my stomach is full" message, and then run like a madman INLAND (IMPORTANT: make sure you have your fists up to sprint, you will cover ground a LOT faster).  Loot barns and houses as you go (you'll find a lot more unlooted areas away from the coast). From Kamy, run to Msta/Staroye > Guglovo > Novy Sobor. From Solnichniy, run to Dolina > Polana > Guglovo > Novy Sobor. By the time you get to Novy Sobor, you have everything on the list below.

Couple of tips: 

 

- AVOID zombies at all costs until you get a Fire Axe. If you're forced to fight a Zombie with your fists, punch him in the head and run away while he's on the ground. You CAN win a fistfight with a Zombie, but it's a pain in the ass, wastes valuable time, and you will take unnecessary damage. If you're bleeding, use the shirt you spawn with to fashion a bandage.

- After you've drunk yourself "full," your Looting Priority should be as follows:

1. Axe (preferably Fire Axe)
2. Backpack
3. Food Items/Soft Drinks
4. Clothing (to be torn up into rags for makeshift bandages)
5. Compass

This should be enough gear to make a push towards one of the military installations, where you can find weapons and ammo.

Well, during my short time playing so far. I've pretty much got the grasp of it. That said, and I know some of these have been mentioned already.. I've read the posts.

 

No matter where I spawn, what server's I join (I've joined a ton of them!).

Regardless of what direction I head in: Berezino, via: Nizhnoye, Solnichiy and various other towns on the way.

Or.. Elektro, via all the towns. 

Even tried going inland a little bit. Tulga, Msta, Deer Stands. Next stop, Staroye. 

 

Other than water, I can't find anything. Not even food = resulting in death. This being the case, running around like I'm Rambo. After all, I have nothing to lose! 

 

At the moment, It just seems like an utterly pointless exercise. Run around, drink, get hungry, die. Re-spawn and repeat.

Did I just join Alpha at a bad time? All servers @ night, loot modified? Don't get me wrong, I'm still persisting with it. But, it's starting to drive me insane now. Not even a crumb! 

 

On a side note. I totally crapped my self running through the woods. Flash light on at the time, I swear, I saw the mask of SAW. I'll admit, I jumped.. hugely. 

I then realised it was my flash light making a certain pattern on the tree bark! Flash light was off after this... ha!

 

p.s: Text chat, does this work in the same way as voice? Only people within a certain radius can read it?

 

Loot only respawns at server restarts.

 

If you know when the server is going to restart, go loot then.

 

If you don't know, just move "away" from the coast.  The towns further inland usually have more loot.  The smaller the town, the less chance somebody specifically ran there to loot it.

I have a little over 60hrs in game, having said that, I never have a problem finding food or water. What a lot of new players underestimate is the sheer size of the map. It is truly huge. Most players beginnings are much alike. When you hear ppl say head north, they mean start trucking and don't stop. It will take over an hour at full sprint to hit the other side.

Along the way fill up on water, doesn't have to be the spigot, go into a pond and move around until it says drink. Only loot colored 2 story houses, brown and black houses rarely have anything good. When passing through a town, no zeds or open doors, don't stop already looted.

Ah guys, I did post an update. I'm all good! SImply bad luck I think.

 

It did annoy me yesterday though... after finding (given a revolver), logged off... came back on... all my gear had gone and I was a new spawn :( Not to worry! To other guys who experienced the same regarding loot.. keep at it! It'll come. Head inland is all I can say.

Tulga and Msta are hardly inland towns, you need to go much further.  Also check the isolated farms along your way.

 

If it looks like an obvious place to loot, then pass it up.  Every other new spawn will have thought the same thing.  Just spawn, load up on water at the coast, then head west and northward.  You'll find much more when you really get away from the first places everyone looks.

I have no clue what game you guys are playing. Me and FIVE of my friends were in a server that had 20 people in it. In less than an hour and a half we were fully geared with weapons and supplies.

 

You people are doing something very, very wrong.

 

Go watch any popular streamer, they also have 0 problem finding loot.

 

I wish I could help more but I have no clue how people are having this much trouble. Even worse, if you ARE somehow against all odds having this much trouble, log into an unpopulated server until you have some food and water. 

 

I just really cant understand the complaining I keep seeing about 'omg no loot'.

Yes it is the same.  I am sorry you are having issues finding just the basics to survive on a server but like many people have said here, you could be joining already looted servers and your just having bad luck doing so.  wish ya the best of luck and if you would like im always looking for new people to play with on my team...
