Dayz SA/Steam goes unresponsive

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Ive been having alot of trouble since the SA was released. The game randomly goes not responding and freezes. Both Steam_Client_Bootstrapper and Dayz goes unresponsive at the same time. No noticable change in variables in cpu,gpu or memory use.

It can happen as soon as i log in, or anywhere after that. I can get 5 minutes of gametime or 5 hours..

All the fixes ive found have made it work for a session, then next session problem is back and the previous solution wont help again (i.e it was just a coincident)

Anyone know any fixes for this or what might be causing it?

My system is:

i7-4770K @ 3,5Ghz

16GB ram

GTX 770

Z87-PRO

Windows 8.1

What i have tried so far is:

Memtest+ - All was good

Changed memory in the machine to test - didnt fix anything

Downgraded and Upgraded GPU drivers - didnt change anything

Started Steam in administrator - didnt change anything

Removed everything in the package folder of steam - made it better for a session, hasent worked since

Reinstalled Windows - didnt change anything

Reinstalled steam and dayz - didnt change anything

Cleared registry - didnt change anything

Virus/Malware search - didnt change anything

Waited for a while before moving ingame - didnt work as its fairly random

Im at my wits end, im tempted to install windows 7 now and see if that works.

Anyone got any idea what so ever i can do? And yes, there is a bug report for it, and yes i added my info towards the bugreport.
