    On the Coast
  1. Hi, Ive been having alot of trouble since the SA was released. The game randomly goes not responding and freezes. Both Steam_Client_Bootstrapper and Dayz goes unresponsive at the same time. No noticable change in variables in cpu,gpu or memory use. It can happen as soon as i log in, or anywhere after that. I can get 5 minutes of gametime or 5 hours.. All the fixes ive found have made it work for a session, then next session problem is back and the previous solution wont help again (i.e it was just a coincident) Anyone know any fixes for this or what might be causing it? My system is: i7-4770K @ 3,5Ghz 16GB ram GTX 770 Z87-PRO Windows 8.1 What i have tried so far is: Memtest+ - All was good Changed memory in the machine to test - didnt fix anything Downgraded and Upgraded GPU drivers - didnt change anything Started Steam in administrator - didnt change anything Removed everything in the package folder of steam - made it better for a session, hasent worked since Reinstalled Windows - didnt change anything Reinstalled steam and dayz - didnt change anything Cleared registry - didnt change anything Virus/Malware search - didnt change anything Waited for a while before moving ingame - didnt work as its fairly random Im at my wits end, im tempted to install windows 7 now and see if that works. Anyone got any idea what so ever i can do? And yes, there is a bug report for it, and yes i added my info towards the bugreport.

Ivan & Martin Free on bail

Awesome :D Now they need time with their families and do that posponed christmas celebration they had. And get some grub :P
  3. I dont think we should put to much into him saying 150 players. As far as im reading it, he says that the way the map is designed they feel it could fit 150 players. But i doubt we would see many server with 150 players, as we all know that when a 50 player server starts getting close to 40, we start having more encounters with players all over. And if they do end up with servers being 150 players i dont think we gonna see cherno and elektro overrun by the majority of these players, as every building will be entereable and with loot. There isnt as much of a reason to stay down by the coast anymore. I really liked this Q&A, most ive read and seen its been way to little answers to the questions. But this one we got alot of answers it made me a bit hyped for the game again, had gone into a bit of a "meh" state. But this might also be due to the fact that they now know more about how its going to turn out, or atleast their goals. Looking forward to this, maybe start pickin up DayZ again until then just to get the feel of it, even tho its going to be massivly changed as he says. Keep up the good work Rocket :) We will be waiting patiently for your game.
  4. If they were to add missions id like those to be player created, Considering the area has been in a disaster i would expect there to have been a military evacuation attempt of civilians, this would mean that there most likely would be boards set up in these places with pictures of people disapeared. Like, "have you seen my daughter?" Say on these boards now you could place a mission, " Need blood bag help at 123 - 133" and then you would have to deposit 3 items as a reward for the individual to chose from. Anything more than this undermines what dayz is all about

    Say no to discrimination

I dont see a problem with this, i actually welcome it. I wouldnt mind a server with only people speaking my language. But it should say so in the name of the server. If not blacklisted.

    "Psychosis" bar for Bandits

I dont see banditry itself as the problem in Day Z, I see the spawn points being on mostly open areas on the coast as more of a problem for the bambis. I like the fact that i need to way my options of heading to a remote city further north or head into elektro/cherno where i am bound to found what i am looking for, but im most likely to also meet people. Cities mean people, in a post apocalyptic world id expect it to be the same. Id rather see that bambis dont spawn just on the coast. They can spawn a bit more inland aswell. Ive lost count on how many times a bandit has been in the treeline just waitin for someone to spawn. But i do like the idea of a bandit going psychotic. But it shouldnt be like the bandit gets a problem playing the game, more like odd sounds, odd shades in the side of his screen moving etc. And perhaps a hard to find vaccine (much like they have described for SA diseases)
