Can't play as my steam account

After the 22 January patch. I tried to login but login as a completely different account instead of my steam account. In the main menu there is a character with no inventory and name of my computer as username. I cannot log into my steam name no matter how many times I try. It seems to occur after switching accounts then log in back. Help I don't care about my gear I at least want my account back.
