The lack off loot is not right ???

There is enough loot, you just can't be in the area where everyone else is or will be.  They may have reduced total loot, but there is still enough.

 

I happen to like the scarcity.  There really was just too much loot available.  After playing the game for three or four hours, you really learned quickly that food was a non-issue.  You can get way more than enough to survive.  Water is a non-issue too, but because of the pumps etc.

This is not what im talking about, im not talking about the lowering on the loot spawn, I am talking about the loot not spawninng at all in certain places that i KNOW no one has been yet.

Either they have significantly lowered the loot, or the loot isn't dropping. Went through 3 military camps last night with NOTHING in the tents. Weird to say the least. 

I dont think the loot is spawning in certain buldings or areas, it seems like a bug that's been an unfortunate side affect of the latest patch.

Maybe they've decreased loot spawns? I've also been finding a ton of stuff in places like Solnichniy that look looted, and people simply miss it.

Read my previous comment, I'm not saying those items are not spawning, I already have them infact. I'm saying military tents have no loot, nothing. Have you been there at all? Also, most houses have incredibly reduced loot. This even after a server restart, towns and tents didn't respawn the items. Do you get my point now? Barracks, Firehouses, stuff like that seem fine.

Just let him figure it out on his own. He obviously knows so much, let the community be silent on issues like this because of certain people acting like pretentious idiots and well see what kind of game we get.

yeah i also noticed lack of loot in places where no one has been, i though they were reducing the amount of guns and book bags that spawn not actual supplies, im running around thirsty as hell cant even find soda.

Found M4 in School at Elektro Yesterday.

 

Found Magnum in the Firehall

 

Found a bunch of food/pipsi/clothes in the apartment buildings.

 

There is loot everywhere.

This is what im talking about. I searched Chermo last night after a fresh server restart, I was the only one in the server. Entire city blocks empty, doors were all closed. Found a can of tuna, a can of beans, a soda and a baseball bat and after about an hour I died of starvation.  IF we want to talk about simulating real life senarios I am willing to bet that there would be more food than that in a major city. something is wrong with the loot system after the patch.

What are you talking about? This is testing, there is no "breaking the game" right now. Things like this are expected, either they are bugs or they want to see what players do.

He is talking the truth. The fact of the matter is there is a massive issue with loot spawn at the moment and your completely ignoring it to throw insults at some people who dont play the same way as you.

 

Shh there are more important issues at hand then your menial insults.

See what players do? What are YOU talking about? If this was intended, then put it in the patch notes, else I'm gonna treat it as a bug. As such, I'm simply providing my feedback and saying it's broken. What I don't understand are people saying it's fine and it's more realistic, when it's clearly broken. It's because of these (sorry for the term) bootlickers (not talking about you in specific), that many devs don't bother to fix their stuff because everyone is okay with it.

What? I didn't say anything rude ,did you even read our posts?

 

Yes, I know there is a problem I didn't ignore it, but things like this is expected. This is testing, there will be bugs, crashes, character wipes etc... it shouldn't be a surprise. This is something the devs are fully aware.

 

To be honest no military loot isn't a big deal and not game breaking, there are places that do have loot just go there. People need to get real.

 Dude don't get mad at people, there is no point. I didn't say it was intended but at this point, early alpha, the devs can "break the game" if they want. This is the the time they do stupid shit, whether its making bad choices or creating bugs unintentionally. You choose to test the game during this time.

Not mad, and I completely understand that it's Alpha, infact there are other bugs present in the game and I'm not too bothered. I also know where else to get military gear, it's just that I want to make sure they work on this. If people keep saying they're okay with it, then it won't change. I would really like an official statement on this I guess.

Yep, military loots don't spawn ANY loot anymore, and most/a lot of houses are not spawning either. This seriously needs to get addressed. It's happening on all servers I joined, official Bohemia or not.

This is incorrect, TENTS do not spawn loot anymore either purposely to scatter loot around and make things more rare, or for tweaking the spawns for future items.

Also, from what -I- think to be true, before, Items were everywhere so we can test them, now that those items have been tested, their spawn rates have been lowered and new items spawn rates have been raised so we can test those. You can STILL find weapon attachments and such in new spawn places such as hangars, jailhouse building, ATC towers, etc. Rocket has also stated that military gear will and is meant to be rare/very rare.

I think the issue here, atleast in my opinion, is that others (myself included) were spoiled to having an abundance of loot everywhere, and now that the rates have been lowered, or lowered to how the devs want it, people are having a lot of trouble adjusting.

I hit a couple of towns on a very low population server and found sweet fanny adams by way of loot. And no, these were out of the way places and yes, the server had been restarted. I'm all for reducing some loot but - as a fresh spawn - not being able to find even basics like soda or tinned tuna clearly indicates something is bust somewhere.

 

I did find plenty of cans of spray pain, however, and rotten fruit seems to be as (almost) as common as it ever was. However, I had nothing to treat the side effects of eating manky oranges and nothing to paint a pretty colour so none of that was much use to me ;)

As I said, if this was intended, put it on the patch notes. That way, people would know it was actually changed because they wanted to. And as I also said, it's not just tents. Many civilian houses and completely empty. When I was playing for example, Kamenka had no loot at all and all doors were closed.

I have yet to experience this but will post if it does occur when I play. I'd say another thing to keep in mind is that there are a lot of new loot spots around the map, such as Red-roofed barns. And servers do spawn a finite number or items which can't be placed in EVERY building so the loot might be varied and spread out.

There were a lot of the north/eastern areas that didn't have much loot before this patch, now that they reduced loot in the military areas people are complaining. It sounds like people don't want to explore new areas. 

 

Last night I got military pants, shotgun, mosin, sniper scope, mountain backpack some ammo...no prob.
