Are you joining servers that DON'T have a red 'X' next to them? If so, please post a screen shot so I/we can help further.

If you uninstalled and reinstalled, did the folders inside of C:\Users\<username>\Documents remain?  not sure if it has something to do with it, but I did find some, I will say "Odd occurrences" when manipulating those cfg files to retain my custom config.

Edit: If you uninstall the game, and they are still in your documents folder, try deleting the folders with cfg files in them and try again.

Also noticed that server browser does not reflect the new changes from last patch (server time, version, hive, etc..) not sure how to help you, but after reinstalling the game and running the stable version, your server browser should look a lot different than the one in the pic you provided.

uninstall the game

DELETE the game folders

reinstall the game.

OR

do an integrity scan of the game cache in steam. either way your game is outdated.

No to checking the beta box.. guessing you are technically challenged.. no biggie

After uninstalling

Go to start menu, click computer, go to C drive, navigate those folders, delete DayZ folder in Documents

From there, go back to the C drive, into Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common and delete the DayZ folder

Then reinstall

This is of course assuming you had done the update and it just didnt apply for some reason?

No need to uninstall, I was getting an error while updating myself also. First, make sure you are NOT opted into any beta (experimental build). Now, if that doesnt update your game, right click on dayz, go to local files -> hit verify game integrity. If THAT doesn't work, exit steam, and verify integrity again, that made it update for me. If none of the above work, reset your computer and try verifying one last time. If this all fails, re-install like the others have suggested.
