Anyone playing with R9 290?

Hey

 

Anyone here playing the game with a Radeon R9 290?

 

How's your FPS? And what settings do you use? 

 

Im getting some terrible FPS

Doesn't matter much what GPU you have, you don't get much fps. Towns aren't optimized yet. You need to tweak some settings lower to get even the extra 5-10 fps more in towns. 20-30fps is pretty normal even for higher end cards.

CPU : i5 2500K @4.3GHZ (Watercooled)

GPU : HIS Radeon R9 290 - 4GB DDR5 VRAM - Stock clocks : 947 GPU / 1250 MEM

Memory/RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz DDR2

Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 (latest BIOS)

SSD : Crucial M500

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit + SP1

Monitor Resolution: 1920 x 1080

Graphics Settings:

Catalyst Control Centre: Adaptive Multi-sampling ON , all AMD texture and surface optimisation OFF

DayZ SA Video Settings:

Overall Quality : Custom

Rendering Resolution : 1920 x 1080 (100%)

Vsync : Disabled (running 144Hz monitor)

Textures:

Video Memory : Auto

Texture Detail : High

Texture Filtering : High

Quality :

Objects : High

Terrain : High

Clouds : High

Shadows: High

Rendering :

AA : Low (not much of an FPS hit and makes everything look sharper)

ATOC : Disabled

Edge Smoothing : SMAA Low 

HDR Quality : Low

Ambient Occlusion : Disabled.

Postprocess Quality : Very Low (just enough to get a little motion/rotation blur).

Performance :

FPS in cities: 40 -  (10 players on server, none believed to be nearby)

FPS in wilderness: 60 - 80 (10 players on server, none believed to be nearby)

should just disable clouds completely, ain't no one flying yet and they cause a stutter as their bugged..
