Weapon cleaning kit degrade weapons?

Had a pristine M4 and Magnum, decided to use a weapon cleaning kit on it, both are Worn right after cleaning....

 

What's the deal?

Really not sure if the cleaning kits do anything yet, tried one on a shotgun earlier and it made no difference.

I tried on several weapons, no change, kit was pristine, i think they are for future use, at least now weapons have condition text.

I had a similar problem, it seems that the cleaning kind "restores" the weapon to worn status, regardless of whether or not it is in better condition. haven’t tried it on weapon in worse that worn condition yet, so don’t know what happed there just guessing.

Indeed I had three weapons which I cleaned with a "worn kit" and all three became worn as well. I then found a pristine cleaning kit and tried cleaning the guns in the hope they would become pristine once again as well... no such luck, they remained "worn".

So leave the cleaning kits unless you find a pristine one. Otherwise you are better off with a dirty gun.

My M4 was pristine, after cleaning it, is worn now  :thumbsup: best tool evah!

Ive used the weapon kit 4 times now "did it 3 extra times t be a 100% sure) once on a m4 and 2 times on 2 diffrent revolvers and once on a FNX.

all 4 times the weapons went from Pristiine to Worn.

 

so yeah dont use the weapon cleaning kits untill this gets fixed.

Why on earth would you clean a "pristine" weapon?
