did patch break the save/spawn system?

Ever since patch, my character doesnt save anymore and always spawns as a new character in a different spot no matter where I was when I logged out?

Yes, it's broken for a lot of people, not for everyone. I can relog just fine without any save problems.

well if you check the general discussion forum you will see lots of other posts on this subject, so am sure they are aware of this issue, personally it happened to me a few times, and other times it saved fine, and also it seems some people never get this problem while others always get this problem, so maybe its hard to track the bug down

Yup, its totally nuts now... Every server I join I get some random character. Even got a dead one from like 1 week ago with full gear! LOL

The server hosters set the hive for the servers to use. The new update was quite complex, and introduced a number of new settings that server hosting providers needed to configure.

There has been significant confusion with some of them, as the instructions we have sent have not always filtered down to the engineers and techs rolling up the updated servers.

Hence, many of the servers have been configured to use the WRONG hive. I believe this is in progress. If you notice a server doing this, post here the name/ip of the server and we can look into it.

There is no known issue with the core architecture, the only issues we have identified so far are issues with problematic configuration.

Bonsai- WRONG ANSWER. This is happening on servers when not hopping. Misconfigured servers are not properly saving. You can play on a server. Log out, go to work/school/rehab/whatever, come back, log in to same exact server and be wiped. No beans for you

I've played on the same servers since I got the SA and have this issue, it's not server hopping causeing the issues. *faceplam*

i seem to keep going through my past characters, sometimes i spawn as a new character sometimes i spawn with full gear and guy that i had a long time ago, seems like after the patch been going down memory lane revisiting my old deceased characters.

Funny since there isn't a list of confirmed working only a list of confirmed broken that continues to grow. The only thing confirmed is that most of the hardcore hive is working.
